Housing

The housing will be mainly apartments that will be big enough to house everyone's families. As well as designed so that it is easy to construct new apartments on top of each of them to save space. While this housing is primarily for families, once the children grow up and become adults (around age 18), they can move out and live with their friends or significant others in their own apartment. The basic apartment is free, and things like electricity, basic cable, gas, water, and basic utensils and beds are also free. They have to pay for things that they will use to furnish their apartment, such as couches, TVs, painting, and other things that will make their homes more personal.

Property

The property will be a mixture of residential, commercial, industrial, and special-purpose. There will be a medium amount of residential areas, as apartments will be the form of housing. My utopian society can just make the apartments taller and be designed to be able to add on top of existing apartments constantly. Many commercial properties, like malls, restaurants, gas stations, etc., will be sprinkled all over society. There will technically be few industrial properties, but they will also be the largest for things like manufacturing and packaging. Also, there are several large locations for farms and other agricultural resources. Also, there are a few special-purpose properties for things like churches, schools, event buildings, etc.

Laws

My utopia will have all the rights the Bill of Rights gives, but the Second Amendment will be slightly changed. While they have the right to defend themselves, it can't be with guns. They have the right to bear nonlethal arms (tasers, paper spray, etc). In addition, other fundamental laws will include labor laws, such as no child labor compensation for workplace injuries required. Also, laws that protect children and make sure they attend school. As well as laws that ban drugs, smoking, vaping, and alcohol.

The structure of economics will be capitalism, and the distribution of goods will be direct distribution to consumers.

Family

The families will be a two-parent family unit with shared domestic labor. How many children they have will, be up to them and adoption will also be encouraged.

Marriage

Marriage laws will allow any two people to marry regardless of gender. This will also be seen as normal, basically so long as the two love each other they can be married. a forced marriage would. be seen as unnatural and looked down upon.

Governance

The governing structure will be a democracy, led by a President, basically thinking of it being the same as the United States. The government is divided into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial.

Organization of Society

The society will be organized into three groups: a lower and upper class. The lower class will be the working class, and the upper class will be those in leadership roles or highly valued jobs (like doctors). Though it is called lower and upper class, they will all have guaranteed housing, basic meals, and mental and health benefits. The utopian society will work to protect marginalized people and solve social inequality by encouraging people to be looked at based on their abilities and personality rather than appearance or background as well as providing the same basic benefits to everyone with additional accommodations provided to suit individual needs to ensure success, so that inequality is reduced.

Views on death and death customs

In my society, they greet death as a sad occasion but will try to celebrate and remember your life, as death is a natural part of it. There won't be any special ritual, but a funeral will be held as a final goodbye, attended by both family and friends. The corpses are disposed of by way of cremation. In recognition of how hard it is to deal with death, by cremating the body, they can at least save space and keep the individual with them for a while. Ultimately, though the cremated bodies are expected to be thrown across the ocean or ground so they can properly return to the cycle of life.

Setting of Society

The society will be located in basically the same location as the United States, and will be an Urban society, not rural.

There are not a lot of central questions or philosophies that my society is organized around. Basically, just treat others how you would want to be treated.

Lifestyle

In my society, there is huge support for the arts as they are important for expressing themselves, and is similar for sports (though those have the added benefit of helping health with exercise). The fashion is similar to what we have now: shirts, pants, skirts, and shoes, and all of them can have whatever design or image on them. There are no interesting norms, customs, or lifestyle elements, basically just the same as in the US. The people will behave in a kind and considerate way, but above all else, will strive to respect each other. In addition, they spend their time, either working, sleeping, with family or friends doing recreational activities and hobbies (like art), or simply relaxing together.

The dystopian society that Roth presents has lots of issues, but the one constantly portrayed is the lack of choices and free will. My society addresses that by providing the resources and structure that encourages them to pursue their dreams. With basic necessities provided, they won't have to worry about a home or other necessities to live, so even if they don't have a lot of initial success, they will be able to continue without worrying. There will be a variety of jobs and options available, and they can change jobs whenever they so choose. It is entirely their choice; even if they don't know how to do a specific job, they will receive basic training to succeed in it to the best of their abilities.

Religion

There will be Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and others (look to the image for more examples). No one will be required to follow a specific religion or even have one. No one will be looked down upon or thought differently solely because of religion. But overall everyone agrees on values of justice, truth, kindness, etc.

Food

The food will be mainly grown on farms for health reasons basically, if you can't get it naturally from a farm, my utopian society won't have it. The food will be distributed to everyone, regardless of job, class, race, or anything else. There will be enough food for everyone to live on and will be given directly to them.

My society will remedy present-day problems of mental health, and this will be provided to everyone. As well as a focus on rehabilitation for criminals and giving second chances.
