         <description><![CDATA[<div>Video #1<br>-Each state acted like separate countries.<br>-National Goverment had little power to control the states and keep them united.<br>-Each state was allowed independent power which caused them to behave like separate countries.<br>Video #2<br>- In 1781, all of the states were fighting each other for power as they were all independent<br>- The worst flaw in the Articles of Confederation was the economy as prices were too high and government and other people were in debt as of the war<br>-The government was forced to ask the states pretty please for money in order to pay debts from the war.<br>Video #3<br>-George Washington received letters concerning that if there is no army or navy, the country is vulnerable&nbsp; to international problems.<br>-Hammelton prefers&nbsp; national government but it is difficult as all of the states prefers power to the states.<br>-If the states continue to fight each other for power, then it will turn onto full fledged civil war.<br>-The US banks became bankrupt and all of the entire country led into a depression of bankruptcy.<br><br></div>]]></description>

A strong national government was needed to help keep the states from falling farther apart.<br>3. Each state acted like independent countries, with their own money, armies/military, laws, taxes, and more. While competing other states for the West Appalachian Lands.<br><br>Video #2<br>1. States aren't known as states, they were considered independent countries.<br>2.13 different paper currencies, making it hard for National Government to get money, and were not allowed to levy taxes.<br>3. Only one branch: Congress, the most powerful. States worried that congress would overpower the national government hoping it wouldn't be like having another parliament. <br><br>Video #3<br>1. All states are fighting over Western Lands, almost turning into a Civil War.<br>2. George Washington receives letters from military men and friends. Alexander Hamilton says without an army or military they are defenseless and have no way to protect their land and people.<br>3. Alexander Hamilton believes that the National Government will fail because they can't unify the states, and have the same currency, trade routes, and be organized. He also despises Congress.<br>4. United States was Bankrupt and could not tax the people, and they had a very large debt from the war.<br>5. States slip into economic depression<br>6.
