I was going to try and slide the can out to try and get the shape of the cylinder and then try and create a pot for storage and decorate it with paint or try and do print making with it to try and create a textural effect.

It was interesting to see what shape it would go without knowing before hand.
I had drawn in the fair trade logo and used cross hatching to colour the logo then I had used a hot blow dryer to create a shape with the foam and this is what it turned out like.
the foam would be best with metallic paint on it to give it a shine and it would run more and blend into the foam showing the little cracks which could give it a marble effect.

This was the outline drawing of my final piece which was a T shirt design. As part of progress.
In the end I had made the elephant cartoon like but not too much so that children were also able to view this and maybe like the design.
I created an African sunset at the bottom and morphed it all together as one image to represent the country they live in and the help they may need.
The koi fish were not from Africa, but I wanted to include them so that they represented luck and faith like the Japanese culture, the water I found can get contaminated with the chemicals they use to grow crops and sell them. This can be very harmful to animals in which means that they can not be eaten or can not survive and may become endangered in the near future. I had handed this in when I finished it.

This was an experimentation with paper rolling and with paper mache. I had wanted to try and create a basket or some sort of storage box using these and use acrylic paint to colour to tidy it up a little. It was a fun insight to how the fair trade products are made and it was thinking outside the box in such a short space of time which ended up being a challenge.
