I think that I am in the fourth stage (intermediate fluency) and that is an achievement for me because when I started the degree, I only understood some words or phrases, and it was frustrating to me because my other classmates spoke and understood very well the language. I feel proud of myself because at this moment I can speak, write, and understand very well the English language, I need to improve in some aspects, but my English level is good.

We are at the advanced fluency stage of second language acquisition because we can understand and construct complex sentences. This also allows us to participate in conversations on various topics, applying grammatical ruler, the ability to read, write complex text and speaking in context like native speakers.

I think I am currently at the advanced fluency stage of second language acquisition. At this level, I can use a wide range of complex sentence structures and have a strong knowledge of grammatical rules, including the ability to handle irregular forms. My vocabulary is extensive, allowing me to understand and use abstract concepts, technical terms, and idiomatic expressions effectively. Additionally, I am able to adjust my language use according to different social contexts and audiences, demonstrating improved critical skills. My ability to think about and discuss language also supports my proficiency. Overall, I can communicate effectively and understand complex ideas, which reflects advanced fluency in a second language.

I can easily engage in conversations with native speakers and confidently express my thoughts and opinions. I am grateful for the hard work and dedication that have allowed me to reach this level of fluency, and I am excited to continue expanding my language abilities in the future.

After reading the descriptions of the five stages of second language acquisition, I consider that I'm in the Advanced Fluency stage.

I have noticed that I already have a certain fluency and can communicate effectively in different contexts. Although I still have a few pronunciation errors here and there, I feel very comfortable speaking in English and interacting freely with native speakers. So far, native speakers haven't had any issues understanding what I say in our conversations; on the contrary, they are very surprised about my English and often ask me how I learned it.

Furthermore, although expanding my vocabulary is something I am constantly working on, something that has also caught my attention is that I can identify cultural references, idiomatic expressions, and colloquialisms like any other native speaker.

I consider that I am currently in the intermediate fluency stage of my English learning. During this period, I have been able to expand my vocabulary, which allows me to express myself more fluently than before. Additionally, I have noticed a significant improvement in my ability to understand and participate in more complex conversations, which has given me greater confidence in my ability to communicate in the language.

As for reading, I have experienced good progress because before it was too complicated for me.

In terms of writing, I have acquired the ability to write clearer texts. As I improve my grammar and expand my vocabulary range, I can express my ideas more effectively and communicate my thoughts more clearly.

My progress so far is pretty good considering that it is a difficult language for me, but I am aware that I still have the capacity to continue improving.

Intermediate Fluency

Because at this stage I can flow with an intermediate level, in which I can communicate almost as well as native speakers. This stage can characterize a deep understanding of the tones of the language, including idiomatic expressions, cultural mentions and grammatical structures. Being at this stage of intermediate fluency allows me to continuously participate in conversations with greater fluency and understanding, professional communication and the ability to understand a very enjoyable and interesting conversation in order to give my opinion with greater clarity and effectiveness.

I think I am in the fourth stage because before entering the career I could understand some things in English but nowadays I understand much more and conversations and I can even improvise in English on a topic I am talking about, I have learned new words and I can translate texts. I am clearer about grammar, which was something that always cost me a lot because I used to get tangled up in it.

Also, my pronunciation because sometimes I can say something but it is not the good way to pronounce. My speaking skills are not good enough to speak English, but I will improve more.

At this point I would say that I'm in the fourth stage, intermediate fluency. At the beginning I was able to understand some sentences with the words I already knew. Now, I know more words and I know how to formulate sentences. I'll be wrong sometimes, but I understand this as a part of the learning. I think that my skills are good enough to maintain a conversation without big problems.

Right now, I think I’m in the intermediate fluency stage of second language acquisition. I can understand most of what I hear or read, and I can express my ideas without translating everything in my head. However, I still make mistakes, especially with vocabulary I don’t use often or with more complex grammar. Even so, I can usually explain what I mean, keep a conversation going, and understand context pretty well. I feel like I’m past the basic survival stage, but I’m still building confidence and expanding my vocabulary so I can sound more natural and fluent.

At this point in my life, I understand English much better, I understand grammar much more, I can communicate more clearly, and I am able to hold short conversations with native speakers. Although I still make many mistakes, I feel more confident when using the language.
