This video portrays the Ancient Wisdom red flag because the people that are involved with the movement (in the video) describes why they believe the earth is flat, and even calls themselves "Flat Earthers". This connects to pseudoscience watchlist because there has not been any advancement of information regarding the flat earth. The population of this movement may be growing, but further knowledge is not being discovered. This video portrays the Confirmation Bias red flag because it discusses why people believe that a full moon may affect the behavior or actions of an individual. This connects to "results can't be reproduced or verified" because there is not a proper way to evaluate the accuracy of the information; it mostly relies on a person's hunch/hypothesis. A limitation of this theory is that many people tend to believe it, but does not notice that crazy days can happen at any moment; even without a full moon being involved. This video portrays the Red Herring flag because it involves a woman claiming that her "Jilly Juice" can be used to cure diseases, or heal any type of issue involving the human body. When the woman is asked how did she discover this juice and what's the evidence, she tries to ignore it, change the subject, or gives even more information without trying to provide answers. She does this to distract her listeners and move onto something else to avoid a proper response. A connection is from the pseudoscience watchlist; her results cannot be reproduced or verified. There was not any proper research involved for the making or the juice. The All Natural red flag refers to natural products should be the number one aspect to look at in products, but not every one of these products are actually healthy for you. For example, poison ivy is all natural but it is not healthy for someone.

This video portrays the All Natural red flag because it discusses organic foods and is it an actual healthy alternative option from inorganic foods. A connection to the course is that the person explaining in the video was able to properly use each step of critical thinking. The speaker was able to do so by examining, researching, then evaluating the topic. This resulted in good evidence being used along with the evidence. This video portrays Emotional Connection because the Medium was connecting to the clients' dead relatives, then passing on messages to the clients that the relatives were staying. The clients were grieving for their losses and them being able to hear from their relatives put them at ease or give them some type of "closure". A connection to the course is from critical thinking, for how are these Mediums able to retrieve the information they provide. Define Problem:
How is someone able to rely on Mediums without them having proper evidence?
Gather Information:
This video is made by Buzzfeed. It is a self-proclaimed Spirit Medium named Monica that has the ability to contact people from the spirit world.
Evaluate Evidence:
Monica states that she can speak with people that have crossed over, and will connect to their client and the person connected to the client, to see if she can pass on any information.
Recognize Assumptions, Emotions, Biases:
I have noticed that emotionally the clients are still dwelling over the loss of their relatives and they seem like they want a type of "closure" from the help of Monica. At first Monica was making assumptions of personal details abut the dead relative, but was always able to have the proper information of the relative right after. There is no evidence as to how Monica is able to state actual facts of the people that have passed, but it did bring a peace to them.
Synthesize Evidence, Identify Alternatives:

Alternative Solution #1 - Mediums are able to connect to dead relatives; the clients agree that they were surprised the details of their relatives were accurate.

Select Best Alternative:
I conclude that I would want to experience a session with a Medium myself to be able to see if I actually believe in their abilities or not; hopefully emotions won't affect it.
