I wonder that since the outcomes of this could be so varied that it either come to a victorious win for young people which has the NRA's power squashed or an anti-climatic peak which the NRA finds a means to retain its power, and it leaves young people so cynical and detached that they subdue their civic participation and become indifferent of the cruelty that once aroused their passions?

Sidenote, I found this comic, I think it is thought provoking on about the matter: https://thenib.com/de-ja-shoot?id=ann-telnaes&t=author&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paidsocial&utm_campaign=autoboost-to-followers&utm_content=1856265544443591&int=-

I find myself rooting for these young people and their declare to no longer tolerate these gun laws, and having the commitment to run their strikes and walk outs. It is truly sad that the need for it is happening though, and there will most likely be no middle ground between the two opposing sides, however it will be interesting to see how far of an impact these young revolutionists can go, and if they will truly be a driving force for change in the current gun policies in America. It will be a big win for young leaders everywhere as well as those in and outside of America opposed to the current gun laws, if they are able to win the fight against the NRA, however if they don't I worry that it may further diminish the hope of young people, as well as their participation in meaningful policies, decision making and movements.

In my opinion I do not believe that the solution to ‘school gun shootings’ should be that teachers should be equipped with guns, as said in the clip ‘teachers did not sign up to shoot guns they signed up to teach’. It is devasting that this is the solution that the president believes will help control gun shootings. My opinion is that stricter gun laws should be in place. The movement that the young people are standing up and fighting against the NRA is very powerful. The strikes and walk outs that they are doing shows that young people can stand up and be leaders to fight for something that they strongly believe in. It is great to see these young people have the confidence and I hope that something is able to change through this.

“When you no longer have an argument against an argument that’s being made, you start attacking the person making it,” very true what she says, I think it further reiterates that it only gives young people more confidence in their fight when people don’t take them seriously or call them “actors” (how rude by the way, their friends died.) It was pretty powerful that she stated young people are working hard and passionately about this because they’re teenagers, they know how to make excuses and recognise the excuses being made by politicians, the NRA, etc. “Teachers did not sign up to shoot guns” so true hey, I don’t understand how any of that is going to make a student feel safe, yikes, I’d be too scared to ask a stupid question especially if my teacher was an ass. Like it’s so damn true that they come up with solutions to avoid actually talking about the issue, thinking that’s what people want to hear, coming up with teachers being armed in schools! Done, end of story but the issues are just going to keep occurring which is unfortunate but hopefully the students at this school, the young people apart of this movement can be heard loud and proud

Considering what has been proposed to try and fix the issue of mass shootings, i find arming teachers in schools absolutely ridiculous and I'm very glad these young people have spoken their mind and beliefs directly to the NRA.
