Kanye West was born on 8th June, 1977 in a middle class neighbourhood of Chicago city. His father, Ray West was a former member of the Black Panther, the first black photojournalist and an award winning photographer. Wile, his mother was an English professor. Kanye lived with his mother while growing up and joined the American Academy of Arts after high school and later transferred to Chicago State University. He dropped out of collge to pursue his musical aspirations.

In his personal dating life, Kanye started to date model and designer Alexis Phifer in 2002 and were engaged for 18 months until August 2006. He then dated model Amber Rose for two years. But after his break up, he started dating long time friend Kim Kardashian and later that December of 2012, they announced that they expected their first child. The couple welcomed North Nori West, their first child and daughter. Later, Kanye proposed to Kim on 21st October, 2013 and  on 24th May, 2014 they married in a private ceremony at Florence, Italy. The couple also welcomed their second child and son Saint West.
