My name is Kim Fischer and I will be your instructor for the next 15 weeks. I look forward to reading your posts and getting to know each and everyone of you.
A little about me, I live in Lewes, have owned and operated numerous businesses. I have been teaching for DTCC for 6 years full time and over 10 part time. I have a husband, 3 wonderful stepchildren and 10 grandchildren from the ages of 1 yr, to 14 years old. I have a long hair chihuahua and a very large horse. I love to ride and show my horse.
I have a Masters in Business Administration with a minor in finance. Oh, and I truly love my job!!

Hello, my name is Mary Morris and I am in two of your classes this semester. I quit my job in May of 2021 and have been taking classes at DTCC since the fall of 2021. I expect to complete my associate's in general business at the completion of this semester. I haven't decided whether I will pursue a bachelor's degree.

I have worked in the construction and rental business, did a stint at DuPont (as did nearly everyone prior to the 1990's), worked in the food resale business, IT for Avon, a tech consulting company and finally a non-profit museum. I don't job hop, I have just worked for a very long time.

I live in Hockessin and my primary campus has been Wilmington; taking online courses makes that a moot point. I am married with a rising high school junior, a mixed-breed dog, a stepson, and a nearly 2 grandson.

I have traveled outside of the US 6 times, once to Canada, once to West Germany, courtesy of Uncle Sam, and 4 times to Guatemala. Guatemala, by far, is my favorite and I hope to go back next year. I would like to travel to Ireland and the British Isles.

Hey, my name is Kenny. I am a business management major. I skateboard and play in a band called Grandeur. I live in Newark. I just got back from Fort Lauderdale from a vacation/tattoo session. I travel frequently for tattoos. I am what is considered a Hard Money Lender. Basically, I invest in a company called Shallcross Mortgage. They finance short term mortgages for house flippers.
I am excited for this class because I have begun to love economics. I have already passed micro and macro econ. They actually have been making me consider getting a bachelors in econ.

Hi there, my name is Ethan Rakes. I like the outdoors and love surfing. I am from southern Delaware near the Owens campus, but I do most of my schoolwork online so I can travel and work. I am starting flight school in a couple of weeks and decided to continue taking my Del Tech classes in conjunction since I am close to finishing my associates degree. My degree for that matter is Business Administration.
Currently I am unemployed as I am about to start my new schooling, but for the past year I have been working at West Marine in Rehoboth Beach. I enjoy traveling and would love to go international soon.

Hello! My name is Megan. I am a business administration major working on my associates - finally graduating at the end of the summer semester this year - I have been working on this since 2019.

I am the Procurement Operations Supervisor at Incyte, which is a biopharmaceutical company here in Wilmington.

I have been a full-time single mom since I was 18. My son just turned 18 this past October. So we will both be graduates this year.

We have two cats - Maverick and Goose - no we aren't Top Gun fans - we adopted them with those names in July of 2020 - our pandemic support animals you could say lol.

If I could go anywhere it would be Ireland. I grew up looking at photos from my grandparents trips to Ireland so I would like to experience it myself one day.

Hello! My name is Angela Morales. I’m pursuing an associate’s degree in General Business, which I will hopefully finish by the end of this year. Currently, I’m solely focused on my education so I am not working. I’m an outdoor person so while I’m not studying I like to spend time outside with my dog and my chickens. I also really love to travel. Last summer I was able to travel to Puerto Vallarta In Nayarit, Mexico, which I would recommend if you like seafood! If I could travel anywhere, definitely overseas to the UK or South Korea.

Hi, I am Melanie Dustan. I am majoring in business management here at DTCC. I currently work full-time at a small family-owned pool company where I am the general manager and am responsible for overseeing our retail and service departments as well as the HR, AR, AP, bookkeeping, payroll, and daily tasks required to run the business. I also work part-time for a family-owned restaurant where I do the back-end HR tasks, bookkeeping, and payroll. I am also working on launching my own business offering bookkeeping, and offsite HR tasks to start. I have 2 children, ages 12 and almost 16, so any free time I have is spent with them. If I could go anywhere it would be somewhere in the tropics. I love the beach and warm weather, those photos with the clear water look so amazing!

Hi everyone! My name is Nana; I am majoring in accounting, and this is my last semester here at Del-Tech. I currently work full-time at Walmart as an overnight associate. I aim to earn a degree in accounting at Delaware State University, established my own business, and invest in real estate. Also, I like to listen to music and hang out with friends during my free time. If I would go anywhere, it would be Sydney in Australia, cause I would love to visit there beaches, opera houses and historical sites.

Hi everyone, my name is Momina Khan. This is my last semester here at Del-Tech and I will be graduating with an Associate's degree in Accounting. After Del-Tech, I will be transferring to Goldey Beacom College to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. I currently don't work but I am planning to start working this summer in my career field to get some experience. I also like to paint in my free time. I also love traveling and if I could visit anywhere it would be any country in the Middle East because I have friends from there. I am excited to learn new things in this course.

Hi, everyone! My name is Alex, and I’m a current student here at Del-Tech. As of now, I’m pursuing a degree in general studies, with hopes of moving on to the University of Delaware to study business or something related to the field. Since I’m a full-time student, I do not work at the moment. I have two pet dogs, a labradoodle and an entirely mixed breed. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would want to visit parts of western Europe, including the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. Hope everyone has a good semester!
