In the beginning I felt like I was at an African-Latino tribal ritual.  Close to midnight under the moon, by the fire, dancing to the drumming barefoot, feeling the soil underneath my feet, feeling the calling of my spiritual ancestors.  As the night continues can feel the breeze and hear the waves crashing along the shore.  As we walk then run inland, hear the various animals trying to stay hidden, camouflaged with in their habitats, wondering who is invading their space. Towards the end of my trip I was driving - fast and fluid - along the coast in a topless car. The ride then went into African section of the park, where we came to see apes and elephants, possibly giraffes. There was a strong sense of motion because of the blending of then noises from musical instruments, which rose with an allegro pattern, coming to a crescendo as the monkeys mewled. I could feel the cool metal as I grasped onto the bars, holding on for dear life. There were vibrant colors of green and yellow, but also cool colors of grey and black. I was seated on the ride in utter silence, overwhelmed by the senses.]]> 2019-08-08 15:18:40 UTC https://padlet.com/elenashilovaguy/4o9rqwt8m14t/wish/373744896 emily_golightly https://padlet.com/elenashilovaguy/4o9rqwt8m14t/wish/373745424 I was walking around taking pictures, and it's weird, because the music felt very familiar, but I didn't know the song until I closed my eyes, and then I was immediately in "The Jungle Book", and I could picture the little village girl fetching the water, and Baloo the bear, and Mowgli. This version of the song, however, really reminds me more of the style of music of Ireland or Scotland, perhaps due to the strings in the orchestration, but it kind of feels like being on a rolling green hill, based on that.
