Each meal contains rice, 3 dishes and 1 soup, except for Wednesday. On Wednesdays, all the students have half day of school, therefore, the lunch is simpler.  
Pei-Cheng have her own chefs and a nutritionist, who is in charge of the balance of the diet. Fruit and milk are provided on different days.

Lunch for school kids is free in Yilan. So, I brought the materials from home and had students work in groups to create their artwork. 
This one is called "The Chief".  Impressive!

After each group created their artwork, I took pictures and post on the doors outside of the English classroom as a mini  gallery. I invited students to pick their favorites and put a sticker on the pictures.  This is also an encouragement to our students. 

Everyone has different and unique taste. When they approached to the desk, they needed to say the sentences on the board.  And then they can poke through the paper-covered hole to find out their free give-away gifts. 

These are the 2nd graders. 

On the receipts, there are receipt numbers. They are for the lottery. By giving the receipts to the charity organization, students and their family help the organization if the numbers match with the lottery number.

Every Monday morning, the school has students assembly. As Pei-Cheng is the 2nd largest elementary school in Yilan, with about 1,500 students all together, it is practical to air the announcement and weekly English via media.
