I am very thankful that both my parents understand me & respect my decisions. Now that doesn't mean my dad won't give his 2 sense, but I always take into consideration what he tells me and how he responds to things I tell him. I know I can go to my parents about anything & they will not judge me, but will give their advise on the situation. Both of my parents trust me to make good decisions & not jeopardize their trust. Since we are so close & we are open about all things, I truly believe it changes our relationship & strengthens it. I love my parents more than anything & I know without a doubt they will always have my back, no matter the circumstances.

Although, I am still 17 and have a few more years in my teens. I have still learned quite a lot and I will learn more in the next few years and in college. Being a teenager girl is hard, going through what society thinks you should be, act, and even look like. Some days are harder than others, but I always try to remember that God made me the way I am for a reason and he loves me just the way I am. Going through high school and being a teenager, I have learned that not everyone will love me and that's fine. I just have to love myself and try to be the best version of myself. In high school there will be drama, conflict, arguments, and sad times. But your teens years are supposed to be the amazing ones. Every thing that has happened, I try to remind myself that it all happens for a reason and I can either ignore it and try to push it away, or I can learn from that situation and grow. So I always try to learn from my mistakes and realize what I could've done differently and grow from it.

January 26, 2018, my Mema Bubbles passed away. Tomorrow will be 3 years she's been gone. I tend to forget what her voice sounded like, or when I would pretend to be sick when I was little so I could spend all day at her house, her laugh, her hugs, and oh my god, the smell of her house. I miss it, I miss her. She was my biggest fan and always would come to anything and everything she could. She never failed my, grandparents are the best and she was beyond that exception. She was the Mema everyone wanted. So yes, if I could go back to anything in my past. It would be to skip school, pretending to be sick and spending all day with her. Watching the Price is Right in the morning, going to McDonalds for lunch, putting puzzles together, and just to hear her voice one more time.

My favorite place is the lake. I enjoy spending time with my family and my friends. It's a good get away, but never gets old. I love tubing, jumping off the cliffs, getting sunburnt, and the sunshine. The best part of the day is laying down at night and still feeling like you're on the boat, rocking back and forth. Lake Norkfort is the best place all summer long. I love being able to invite my friends to the lake with us and doing fun activities. The lake is always very calming and it is my happy place. I look forward every summer.

My hero is 100% my step-father Tc, my real father is an addict to many things and is not in the right mind space to be an actual dad to me. When Tc came into my life, I never once doubted the love or the role he plays in my life. He took me in like I was his own and showed me what it was like to have a real father. He will never know how truly blessed I am to have him in my life. He's shown me what it is like to be treated by a guy and he makes my mom the happiest she's ever been & she deserves that more than anything. The word step-father does not define him whatsoever. He has fulfilled the role as my dad in my life. I am beyond blessed that he came into my life and stepped up and is my dad who loves, supports, appreciates, and cares for me.

#19 What advise would I give to younger kids about middle and high school?

My advise to younger kids in middle and high school is to get involved. When you're apart of a team or an organization, you make more friends and the high school experience is a lot more fun. Knowing that on Friday nights, you'll be able to go to the football games and cheer the football team on. Pep rallies, dress up days, and even spirt weeks. It might seem stupid now, but one day you'll look back on those days and wish you didn't take them for granted. High school goes by too fast and in a blink of an eye, it's too late. So have fun it high school, get involved, make friends, go to parties, but most importantly don't lose yourself in all the chaos. There will be drama, boy problems, drugs, and alcohol. Don't get caught up in those things that could ruin your future. Surround yourself with people who love and care about you and want the best for you, and you should be fine.

As someone who has serve anxiety and depression, I often find myself worrying about multiple different things, even if I am not in power of the situation. Stressing is something I have always done even since I was younger. For some reason it just takes a tole of my life and its hard to stop my brain from spinning constantly. Ive went to therapy for various reasons and tried to receive some help with my mental health and Ive definitely have seem some improvement but its not all gone. The worst time for me stress to come is when I am trying to go to sleep at night. All my thoughts and worries rush to my head at once and I can't stop the thoughts. Most of the time I try to think of something else to get it off my mind, but it usually doesn't work. Having stress and anxiety is normal and its something I try to work on every day to make myself better.

If my mom were to answer this question, she would list multiple things that she believes I'm good at. I think I'm good at making people happy and feel special. You never know what someone is going through and I always try to remember that before I say hurtful things. Your smile or just a simple hello could make someone's day and make them feel special. I know this journal entry isn't long but that's okay because just a few words could encourage anyone.

During my cheer senior night, my coach, Cassie gave all of us seniors some gifts. When Cassie lost her husband to overdose, her cheer girls read a story book called, "You're Here for a Reason." Now at every cheer banquet, camps, and competitions, Cassie reads us this book. Although it's a child book, the meaning behind the book means so much to me, the girls, and Cassie. Cassie read me this book through some very hard times going through high school and always reminded me that I am here for a reason. She will never know how much this impacted my life and how she has helped create the person I am today. When I saw that she gave me this book during senior night, all the emotions that she got me through started to hit me at once, looking at that book. Whenever I am feeling depressed or had a bad day I can go back to the book and read it and realize that I AM here for a reason.

Growing up Ive had my fair share of mistakes and problems that I have personally caused. Automatically people assumed that I was rude, mean, and fake. Honestly those assumptions used to be correct then I grew up and matured a little more, and those assumptions from people that didn't even talk to me where still floating around. I understand why but I tried explaining that I have changed and I am a different person now, but most people didn't believe what I was saying. A few years passed and those assumptions started to go away once people saw the new and improved me.

If I am not working (lets just say Im not working due to this journal) I normally like to sleep in and get some extra rest. Once I get up and want to start my day, I take a shower and brush my teeth and get dressed. I like to clean my room up to start off the week on a good clean room, after my room is all clean I gather up all my dirty clothes and put them into the washer. I either watch Netflix, go to Jonesboro and eat or just whatever my plans are for that day, just something laid back and enjoyable. Whenever my clothes are dry, I always try to hang them up but honestly that happens every once in a blue moon. Once the day starts winding down I begin to get ready for bed and play on my phone and then go to sleep whenever I get tired.
