The growth of the tourism industry has played a significant role in making English the most widely spoken language in the world. Some believe that this trend will eventually result in English being the only language used globally. In this essay, I will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of using one language.

On the one hand, having a universal language brings everyone together and unites the world. It eases communication and allows people to overcome language barriers by speaking English. This facilitates communication between different cultures and offers individuals a gateway to understanding one another’s cultures. A global language also eliminates the communication barrier, promoting greater international trade and opportunities for economic growth.

On the other hand, there are several disadvantages to having only one language in the world. One problem with using a single language worldwide is the erosion of other languages and their associated cultures. Language and culture are inextricably linked, with unique words in every language to identify cultural artefacts and ideas about a culture. The loss of cultural diversity could be detrimental to the cultures that are associated with those languages. Additionally, some people might feel that their own identity would be lost if they had to give up their native language.

In conclusion, while there are advantages to having one global language, such as facilitating communication and promoting international trade, there are also disadvantages, such as the loss of cultural diversity and identity. It is important to consider both sides of the issue when discussing the potential impact of English becoming the only language spoken globally.
Band 7.5
--
Word count: 261 words
[Not an ad]: Bạn đang cần tim trò chơi để thư giãn sau khi thi THPT Quốc gia?

Nowadays, language has become a topic of debate when English are using more frequently and getting the chance to be the only language will be used by all people in the world. While there are a number of benefits such as enhancing global communication and understanding, I believe there are some drawbacks which are the possible loss of various culture of nations in the world and the collapse of tourism.

The most significant positive aspect is to urge the unit of all nations around the world to develop the social communication, as well as, understanding. This is because people from many countries will gather for speaking only one language, this phenomenon gives rise to the elimination of language barries and the cultural exchange. For example, Latin where the large number of nations in continental have been usins Latin's own language to exchange social problems has gotten some achievements in cooperation with other nations. For this reason, people around the world have a right to get access to solve every issues in society because there is no gap between country and country.

On the other hand, there are a number of negative aspects which we can analyze this phenomenon. Firstly, the linguistic diversity and cultural hertiage would be at risk of extinction. One reason for this is that individuals will pay attention to the most prominent language and tend to ignore the other languages which are existing at all time . For instance, chronicler of Vietnam told that there had been many different acient languages in Vietnamese rich history which were not used nowadays because of the increasing number of people who are utilizing the modern one. Secondly, individuals living in the era which has just one language to speak can observe the collapse of tourism. Because of the purpose of travelling which is to discover new languages and cultures, this conception can lead to the decline of the number of tourists, even, the fall in economic growth in many countries which rely on tourism. As demonstrated by the United States of America which country has the largest people wanting to travel to foreign countries.

In conclusion, although having the united language may help the cooperation between country and country increase remarkably, there are many negative aspects such as the possible extinction of the diversity and cultural heritage, as well as, the fall of country relying on tourism. If the only one language to speak is English or any others language, the government and people in their own country must preserve their own tradition and culture, as well as, their language.
Band: ~6.5
Cmt: The essay partially addresses all parts of the task. It presents a relevant position on the advantages and disadvantages of having one language in the world. For example, the phrase "urge the unit of all nations" could be improved to "promote unity among all nations." Additionally, there are some errors in spelling and word formation, such as "acient" instead of "ancient." The writer attempts to use a variety of complex structures and produces frequent error-free sentences.

In today's society, many people think that English is the most important language to develop the tourism industry. Some believe that English is widely spoken and one advantage of this trend is that it improves the commercial economy. However, besides the advantages there are also significant disadvantages. In my view, using only one English language does not have more merits than diverse languages.

On the one hand, having a common language allows easy communication between two countries as it can communicate effectively with communities of other societies which will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and access ideas easily. Secondly, it will promote globalization as well as the economic growth of a country. For consequently, if the world had only one language, some jobs would be easy to do such as when people visit Japan, it will be easier for them to learn the traditions and integrate into the way of life and society of Japan because foreigners can understand what Japanese people say.

On the other hand, this phenomenon can lead to the extinction of other languages and adversely affect the tourism industry. The loss of many languages greatly affects the specific culture and national identity in that area, so if there is only one language in the world, all cultures are the same, not unique, undifferentiated and repetitive can lead to boredom for visitors, and ultimately the tourism industry in danger of bankruptcy. Additionally, since the languages are similar, there is a chance that you will forget your mother tongue. For example, in Malaysia, 80% of society speaks only English, and people could not speak their native language

In a nutshell, having a language can help people overcome language barriers and gain benefits, but it also brings about a significant transformation of cultural identity and commercial status. It is worth noting that the potential risks of both pros and cons of having only one language in the world should be weighed.
Band: 6.0-6.5
Cmt: The advantages of having one language in the world are mentioned, such as easy communication and promotion of globalization and economic growth. The disadvantages are also discussed, including the loss of other languages and cultural identity. However, the ideas lack development and clarity, and the conclusions become repetitive. Additionally, there are some grammatical errors and awkward sentence structures that affect the overall coherence and cohesion of the essay. For example, the phrase "using only one English language" could be improved to "using only the English language." There are also some errors in word formation, such as "undifferentiated" instead of "uniqueness." The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, showing some variety in sentence structure.
