There were 5 intolerable acts and all 5, were supposed to punish and order colonists. This act gave power to people to be able to send trials in colonies to Great Britain to be heard under British Judges, many times when people were sent to be heard under the judges they couldn't even talk! EFFECT- Because of this, colonists started taking action about this, like the Boston Tea Party, they took enough action to anger the King, thus George III created the intolerable acts

King George also had power because he  had the control of the Acts. Along with this King George had the power to control the colonists because he could control the acts too. King George could also control the British because he was the king. Colonists didn't really like the king ruling the U.K. so they started the Boston tea party which later on to the intolerable Acts. The colonists didn't have as much power as the king.
