  • Create an account: Go to khanacademy.org and click "Sign up". 

  • Select a grade and subjects: Choose your grade and the subjects you want to study. 

  • Students join a teacher's class: Go to the Teachers tab on your homepage. Students can join by email or class code. (My students logged in with Google, and type in the code)

  • Use the Mastery system: Khan Academy uses a personalized, mastery-based learning system. Students work on a concept until they master it. 

  • Take a Mastery Challenge: Mastery Challenges are a way to review and practice skills you've previously learned. They consist of 6 questions that review 3 skills. 

  • Students can use headphones or closed captioning: In the classroom, headphones can help students maintain focus. Students can also mute videos and use closed captioning.
