Sully attempts to squeeze in and the car is crushed and Mike is unsure about what has just occurred. It angers and frustrates him that something dear to him is destroyed in such a short time. It is not that Sully wants to trouble, but the frustration of Mike continues to grow in that instance. The Girl Who Saved the Broken Clock teaches us to see the good in things that other people might throw away. The broken clock in The Girl Who Saved the Broken Clock is like something that is broken and nobody wants.. The girl in The Girl Who Saved the Broken Clock thinks it is still special. This shows us that even if something is not perfect it can still be beautiful and mean something to us. The main idea of The Girl Who Saved the Broken Clock is that if we are kind and care about things it can make a difference and change how we look at the world.

Quote Explanation:

The quote "I just think… broken things still matter" is what my poster is all about. It says that things that are broken, like people or objects are still important and we should not forget about them. When I made my poster I wanted it to feel soft and emotional so it could show this idea in a picture. This quote is connected to the idea of healing and hope. It reminds us that nobody is perfect and we all have flaws. We still deserve to be treated with respect and care. The quote "I just think… broken things still matter" is important because it talks about The Girl Who Saved the Broken Clock and how she saw the good in a broken clock.

Story Analysis:-

The narration of the story is calm and optimistic. Initially, it is somewhat sad as the clock is damaged and no one is using it. One theme is that things can be valuable and important even when they have been broken. Another thought is that you can make a significant difference by paying attention to the small details. June sees what other people don't see, such as a broken clock and little changes around her.

A broken clock is a symbol of something that has been lost or forgotten. In June's drawings, you see imagination and hope as she takes what is broken and makes it beautiful. She draws freedom and new life in images of wings and balloons, and time stopping in the image of the clock “frozen at 2:36”. Tone shifts from sad to hopeful at the end.

Reflection:-

I get my blackout poem theme from the word “even broken things still matter.” I chose the words/phrases which demonstrate the unnoticed broken clock by others and the valued clock by June. These words were used to emphasize the forgotten to the restored. My poem is hopeful and inspiring because it demonstrates that positive change can occur when there is caring. The broken clock, flowers, sketchbook and arrows are my doodles, helping to reinforce the message of growth, creativity and renewal. As I wrote this poem, I learned that kindness and attention, in small doses, can have a significant impact.

Analysis of the story

The Girl Who Saved a Broken Clock is about kindness, hope, and giving second chances. In the story, the clock is ignored by everyone and seen as a failure. However, a little girl sees hope in the clock and decides to fix it instead of giving up on it. She begins adding drawings to give the clock hope, such as wings, transforming it from a failure into something meaningful. I titled the poem Hope to show how the girl teaches us that it is easy to give up on and ignore broken things, but if we choose to give them a second chance and help them, they can become even more beautiful and meaningful.

The quote that stood out most to me is, “It felt like a new beginning.” I chose this quote because I feel that it represents the main message of the poem. The clock was ignored and seen as a failure by everyone, but after the little girl fixed it, it was seen from a different perspective. To me, this quote shows that even when something seems impossible to fix, or when it is easier to give up on it, it can still have a future. It serves as a reminder that hope and kindness can create new beginnings for the things and people that others have forgotten or given up on.

Her small act of care slowly changes how people see the clock, leading to it being repaired and becoming a symbol of hope and change in the village.

Quote Explanation

The quote that stood out most to me is, “It felt like a beginning.” I chose this quote because I feel it reflects the main idea of the story. This moment connects to the quote because it shows how something once considered finished can start again with new meaning. It highlights the idea that care and attention can bring new life to what was once ignored.

Analysis

While creating my blackout poem from Saving Time, I chose the theme of hidden courage and hope because I noticed that difficult situations often reveal inner strength that people may not realize they possess. I selected phrases such as "Fear whispered, but hope remained" and "strength appeared where no one expected" because they emphasize perseverance and resilience. These words create a hopeful, reflective, and inspiring tone that encourages readers to continue despite challenges. My visual elements support this message as well. The waves represent struggles, the lantern symbolizes hope and guidance, the clock represents time and change, and the sunrise and growing plant signify growth and new beginnings. Through this process, I discovered that courage does not mean the absence of fear, but the determination to move forward in spite of it.

Quote Explanation

The quote "Fear whispered, but hope remained" captures the central message of my blackout poem. It shows that fear and uncertainty are natural experiences, but they do not have to control a person's actions. Instead, hope and perseverance can provide the strength needed to overcome obstacles and continue growing. This quote reinforces the poem's hopeful tone and highlights the idea that true courage comes from facing challenges with resilience and optimism.

The broken clock in the village symbolizes something that people no longer cared about or appreciated.

Analysis paragraph:

The lesson is that things don't have to be broken or in disrepair, as long as someone sees them differently. The clock is a symbol of time, memory and something important that was lost, but the villagers symbolize people who choose to ignore pain or the past, and take things for granted because they say “just the way they are.” Emotional awareness and empathy; June is aware of what others may not be, and she makes it into art. She doesn't try to change anything but her quiet drawings do, and this results in the clock getting restored. Ultimately, the time when “the clock ticked again” represents renewal and hope, highlighting that there is magic in simple moments of attention and creativity, and that it can spark change and new beginnings

quote explanation paragraph:

The line “Junenoticeeverythingthatothersdismissed” indicates that June is somehow unique, as she sees things that others do not. Others don't see what the clock is doing, but she does, and other things around her. This is another indicator in the presence of “She didn't know how to fix it, but she knew how to honor it.” It's teaching June that not all that is broken can be fixed, but it can be appreciated and made valuable through care and creativity. Her drawings are a means of expression of love and respect for something that others have forgotten.

The story follows an observant and empathetic girl named June who notices a village clock that has been broken and ignored by everyone for eight years. Although she doesn't know how to repair its mechanics, she chooses to honor the clock by drawing it in her sketchbook with imaginative twists giving it wings, flowers, and turning it into a hot air balloon. Her anonymous drawings are left at city hall, sparking a sense of wonder that inspires the community and the mayor to finally restore the clock. When it finally ticks again, the village celebrates together, proving that quiet acts of creativity and care can lead to beautiful new beginnings.

Explanation of the Quote

"Broken things still matter. They carry stories, memories, and meaning. They just need someone to see them."

Explanation:

This quote highlights that the worth of an object or a person does not disappear when it becomes damaged, old, or non-functional.

Carry Stories & Memories, Every worn-out or broken thing like the old village clock in the story holds history, reminding us of the past and the time it spent serving others.

Need Someone to See Them, Instead of being discarded or ignored, these things simply require an empathetic eye. It takes someone with a kind heart and imagination to look past the surface flaws, recognize their deeper value, and bring them back to life. It serves as a beautiful reminder to cherish the forgotten elements of our world.

She spends time drawing the clock because she values its history. Her drawings help to show how valuable the clock is. In the end, the clock gets fixed and starts ticking again. The best part is when the clock begins to work, showing that things that look useless can have value if someone cares for them. The story reminds us to look beyond appearances, be kind, and not give up on things that are damaged or forgotten.

The quote which i liked is that broken things still have value because if they are broken or damaged, it doesn't mean that they are useless it can be fixed because these things also carry value. The second thing which I like is that even small things can create a big impact, because even we see in this how the June drawings help to show the true value of the clock, and that's why it got fixed.

I chose words and phrases like “June noticed everything”, “wings”, “flowers”, and “It felt like a beginning” because they illustrate the attention that June gave to the broken clock and how it was giving her a chance to help others appreciate it. The visual elements would be a large clock in the centre, with flowers and wings to symbolize imagination and renewal. As I wrote this poem, I realized that doing something nice and appreciative can make a difference and can make people look at and see beauty in things they have forgotten.
