As many parks do the Pacific Rim park protects many threatened and endangered species including the pink and Yellow sand verbenas, the grey beach peach vine, the Beach Morning Glory, the Black Knot weed, the Basking Shark, the Common Nighthawk, and the Stellar Sea Lion
