Oldenburg's work connected with society

It connected with the street and his artwork reflected on his surroundings when he first came to New York

His work wasn't high or grand compared to other expressionists before him

He used materials that weren't really used in art such as cardboard,scrapes,plastics especially when he first came to New york.

He made his artworks with a low materials and high intentions
