I choose Daniel Ezra to play Shawn. He is most known for his popular show called All American. He was a phenomenal actor in All American and stood up to what he believed in. Him and Shawn seem really similar and I think he would be a great fit to play his character.

Dani- played by Amandla Stenberg

I chose Amandla to play the role of Dani. Amandla was astonishing in the movie 'The Hate U Give' which was about gun violence. She would be an amazing fit for Dani since she has so much potential in all the shows she does.

Will- played by Jaden Smith

I chose Jaden Smith to play Will. Jaden played the main character in The amazing movie 'The Karate Kid' in 2010. He also played in many more shows and has many awards from his other previous shows. I believe he would be a good Will because he has sense of emotion in his acting and creates a whole different sense of what he could actually be.

Will's mom- played by Gabrielle Union

I choose Gabrielle Union to play Will and Shawn's mom. She has been in more than fifty movies and tv shows, but her most known one is 'The Brothers" and "Think like a man'. I think she would be a perfect fit for their mom.

Pop- played by Will Smith

I chose Will Smith to play pops. Will is most known for his award winning show 'The Fresh Prince of bel Air'. He also starred in the 'Pursuit of Happiness' with his son who I chose to play Will. I think having the father and son in real life play the ones in Long way Down will add more character.

Uncle Mark- played by Chadwick Boseman

I chose Chadwick to play uncle mark in Long Way Down Cast. Chadwick is most known for his marvel movie 'Black Panther' which also has a second movie. I think he will be the perfect fit to play uncle mark because he can add more life to the movie since he is an amazing actor.

Flick- Played by Tom Holland

I chose Tom Holland to play Flick. I chose him because Tom Holland has a very funny personality and he is an amazing actor. He is next known for being in some Avenger moves and all the newer Spiderman's. He could add a bunch of newer things to the character.

Buck- Played by Spencer Moore ll Chris

I chose Spencer Chris to play buck because I feel like he fits the description on how buck was described in the book. He is most known for his role of the bad boy in 'All American' until he takes a turn and goes on the good side. He could add sensibility to the movie and I think he would be the perfect fit.

Tony- Played by Simeon Othello Daise

I chose Simeon to play Tony because If I could picture Tony in my head, this would be how he looked. I think he would play Tony perfectly and it would make the movie even better.

I chose Phillip to play Riggs. I was having a hard time trying to figure out who should play him and from my research I feel like this would be the best option for him. He is best known for 'First kill' which came out in 2022.
