- Morrison described post-modernism as rejecting universal narratives, the localization of knowledge, and questioning the idea of "truth"
- Lopez emphasises the importance of the personal narrative and experiences in her research methods
- Lopez actively states the unique perspectives of this particular group of individuals (localization)
