Kahoot is a game-based learning app that allows teachers to create quizzes called Kahoots. Players join the game using a code on their own device and answer multiple-choice questions that appear on the main screen. Points are given for correct answers and speed, making it both fun and competitive. Kahoot can be used in classrooms or online to review lessons and keep students engaged.

Reason it is effective for a Do Now activity: Kahoot is effective because it immediately grabs students’ attention, gets them focused, and encourages participation right at the start of class. The competitive element makes students excited to answer questions while still learning.
