After William did the job police raided Fred's apartment and opened fire killing his security guard, then they opened fire on Fred's bedroom where he and his pregnant fiancé were sleeping after the gunfire Fred was only found wounded but still asleep from the heavy drug. When police found that Fred was alive an officer shot him twice in the head. Fred was dead and the other seven Black Panthers who were not killed in the open fire were arrested on charges of attempted murder, armed violence, and a variety of weapons charges.
