It shows how much the world we live in has changed throughout the generations. Older generations had the luxury of being able to go into work they valued and that filled them up. Today, it really is mainly about surviving and doing our best to pay our bills and still have some leftover at the end of the week. Some people need to work 3 jobs to make ends meet. This can cause some tension in the workforce due to such drastically different values, which in turn causes different work ethics. Older generations tend to say that younger generations are lazier and don't want to work, but that very well could be just conflicting values. Today, we value work-life balance more and don't want to be a slave to our job. Older generations have a hard time with this concept, but having a cross-generational workforce could help each generation see different values and maybe see their original values in a different light.
