(Give a brief description of this class that would help someone who has never taken a Spanish class know what to expect:)

We learn new vocab regularly and we do the same activities a lot.
This class is very welcoming and full of great people and a great teacher. It was a wonderful experience and I'm glad I got to spend my underclassman years here in this classroom.
If your good at learning vocabulary you'll be fine
You do a lot of talking and walking activities so you get to know people and Spanish better. It might be scary at first but it gets really fun if you just let loose.
In this class you will get word lists and you will learn the vocab off of them. If you can do this you will be successful in this class. I think we should work on listening more.
A bit more laid back because of the cool format. The teacher is super cool and tries her hardest to make class fun.
This class is very interactive. We do a lot of activities that involve getting up and talking to other people. It really improves your Spanish fluency.
There's a lot of speaking activists with other students, which actually really does help in the listening and speaking part of the class. There's vocabulary which I suggest once you get the vocab words study because it makes understanding what's going in a lot easier, and if the teacher calls on you, you have a ready answer. But also alas yaa do you're work because it can damage your grade.
This class may look like a joke but having the skills in speaking a decent amount of Spanish can take you so far, it's not just a class you take to get speaking arts outta the way it's something that can really open your eyes and submerge you in a different culture
Always do your homework and get good grades in the test and you'll have an A
In spanish class we speak in Spanish every day and try not to speak in English. We do writing activities, reading activities, and many fun projects.
Evento e is different and accepting
You sit in a large circle so you can see everyone and you do lots of things to talk to a lot of people. You do most of the talking with partners and you get to do fun things like quizlet live and Kahoot. The teacher makes sure you a e learning it and you can ask her if you don't under stand something. It is a good class and I like the teacher a lot.
Spanish 2 is more of a challenge than Spanish 1, but that should be expected as it is :) Preterite and imperfect verbs can get tricky, but there are ways to practice that will definitely make it easier for you
this class just helps us grow in listening, reading, and speaking skills. there are tons of activities to interact with your classmates to learn to use Spanish more.
Make sure you study on your own time. It might suck in the beginning but it will be worth it in the end. Also always do your homework
This class is only difficult if you are gone a lot or if you don't listen.
In this class you learn about Spanish and the Spanish and Mexican culture. You learn through many different fun activities.
lots of vocab and and make sure you know your conjugations
this class is a great way to get to know other people and learn about an interesting culture
It might be hard at times. But there is always help.
Spanish is a super fun class, you have to be involved and talk to your peers. The activities may seem reptative but they really help you in test etc.
It's a very fun course and the teachers are more than nice. Always willing to help
When you first start, second or first year, it is hard because you're not used to it but as the year progresses your will start picking up little bits and pieces and it will come easier.
Practice as much Spanish as possible
This class is an awesome class, you do many activities daily to get familiar with Spanish, the we do exercises to learn vocab
Pay attention and practice as much as you can
This is an easy class if you pay attention and study. The teacher does a good job of making sure everybody knows what shes talking about by using hand guestures and props.
It goes at a good pace for people learning Spanish
Many people work much better alone, doing the class vocab practice where people are working in group on whiteboards or with flash cards doesn't help me memorize any of the words and feels like is a waste of time for most of the class. I know I'm not the only person that would get more out of 15 minutes of quizlet alone rather than 30 minutes on the whiteboard.
This class is an immersion setting so in the class primarily Spanish will be spoken. Don't worry just pick out the words you can and figure out the rest.
It's hard to understand what the teacher is saying at first but you get used to it so stick with it and focus in class. And do your vocabulary cards because they help the most
There is a lot of work and many tests but if you stay on top of it you'll pass with a good grade:)
Fun interactive way of learning, combination of reading , writing , and talking
This class is fairly easy to get an A in as long as you stay caught up on work and communicate issues/concerns with the teacher. It's a regular paced class and has a variety of different learning activities!
Need to put effort to pass, and need to study to pass, don't give up when your having trouble and participate
Expect needing to practice and get out of your shell because again, everyone talks to each other and gets moved around to talk in Spanish. She explains a lot in a way that you get used to and can understand better. Also don't feel embarrassed about getting something wrong because this class is a learning class and you're not totally fluent yet so it's normal!
You're grade will reflect on how much you do and how hard you work.
Expect a lot of talking in Spanish and in class participation. As you get to know people, the language and the teacher it becomes much easier.
Ecpect a lot of talking and socializing
Lots of work
It is actually quite easy and fun if you apply yourself.
Lots of vocab practice
Get fast because everything is fast pace
"Expect to be talking a lot, you can ask the teacher for help whenever you want, she is a very good teacher. Probably wmone of the best I've had. Never give up on Spanish, be expected to write a lot of flashcards, but remember to stay organized and expect to study a lot
"
It opens a whole new world of opportunities allow you to experience both Spanish culture
Friends can help you learn vocabulary words easier
Lots of new words
lots of new words
This class is super fun if you put in the work. The teacher is super supportive and fun and you'll be able to get instruction in English when you need it but you'll also get many chances to speak, write, and listen in Spanish.
You study a lot of vocab and new verb endings but if you manage your time wisely then you can do fine
"Lots of vocabulary and you have lots of conversations and you have a lot of fun in this class
"
It’s a great Spanish inviorment, and if you pay attention it’s not a hard class
Hard but fun lots of studing for a good grade
Spanish is a very interactive class you don't sit around much and stare at a board. Sometimes you won't be in the mood for it when your tired but as long as you pay attention and learn the words you'll be fine.
It's a tough class but if you stay on top of vocabulary and pick ut words to better help you understand sentences then you should be able to pass.
If you think that Spanish is going to be easy and expect everything to be your way then you're wrong. You'll have to do work and participate then you'll have a fun class.
It's fun and full of Spanish activities. Learning Spanish is okay, but the bond with your teacher(if you do) will improve your learning.
It's very hard
That there is a lot of different ways we teach.
Study when ever u can
This is a level two Spanish class, it recquires a basic knowledge of Spanish and dives deeper into verbs and how to use them. It also focuses on sentence structure and past tense wording. It will help you in a Spanish speaking country if you are in trouble or need things.
Amazing
Easy
You will be forced to associate with your fellow students who are just as awkward as you are so play off that to make it through the class
this class will allow you to interact with more people
Hard to follow at times but if you listen will all your attention you will understand it and be able to put the peices together
Its exactly as youd imagine, youre given words to learn with the occasional grammar lesson and youre expected to use these skills to complete asignments
This is a class where participation is very important. If you are gone frequently or don't participate in classroom activities you will have to work 100 times harder to get a good grade.
This class is challenging because there are some times that you have no idea what words you're speaking, but you learn quickly and easily and it's always super fun. Profe Hogan always finds a way to make your day just a little bit better and this class always makes my day a little bit better.
Study
It's a well rounded class that teaches you essential conversational and grammar skills that will help you in Spanish speaking situations.
Lots of Spanish vocabulary
The teacher speaks mostly spanish and the whole class is very interactive
I loved the class, just listen when the teacher is speaking and do your work, it becomes much more enjoyable when everyone is in a good mood. Spanish is such an amazing and easy to learn thing, immerse yourself the best you can, you never know where it may take you. maybe it will take you to foreign spanish countries like Costa Rica :)
A typical language course
Being in a class where the teacher only speaks Spanish can be a little overwhelming at first, but just stick with it for a week or two and it will get much better.
You'll be learning Spanish. It's pretty simple. You get a vocab set every once in a while and you learn some conjugations and different tenses for words and stuff.
This class can be fun with the funny videos and songs. Spanish gets easier when you study.
Profe will make the class fun and enjoyable. Just remember to study and try your best to do all the homework assignments because it helps but other then that this class is one of my favorites and just enjoy it
This class is about being surrounded by constant Spanish conversation, so don't be surprised that the class is taught in almost completely Spanish. In addition, we learn a lot through stories and talking with each other.
It's shocking at first but pay attention to the pictures and hand movements and you should be able to put the word to the action and understand what she is saying. Remember it's okay to get things wrong because we are all learning.
This class is very interactive- it prepares you and teaches you what to expect if you were in, say, Colombia and were having a conversation with a local. You aren't just learning a language. You are learning a collective culture that represents so many parts of the world. You learn to speak Spanish, but you also learn what Spanish speaking countries eat, what they do, how they live their lives.
Verbal and written practice that translates into various worksheets and exams throughout the year to help you develope important language skills.

(Feedback for the instructor about communication with students)

It was really easy to ask questions when I didn't understand anything, and Ms. Hogan was really nice and understanding... but there were some students that took advantage of that.
I think it's great as is.
I think you communicated well with the class and I enjoyed and trusted talking to you
keep doing the same
Did a great job on checking in on students when we are working to see how we are doing or if we need any help
I think you communicated pretty well so there isnt anything I can think of to change.
I thought the communication you used during the year was effective, but I would have liked it if you checked in more often with feedback on assignments so I knew as a student what I could improve on. I also would have liked it if you were a bit more strict. However, this is just a personal preference.
Maybe put us in more situations were the vocab we learn is also integrated in our conversations more not just from what the teacher says but what we say as well.
None, instructor was always extremely easy to communicate with. I never felt like I couldn't ask something.
I'm not sure, Profe was my fav!!
No feedback, was very helpful when I needed help, and let me do my work without interruption during class time.
Not sure. You overall were easy to communicate with and were very easy to approach.
More flexible lunch availability would beneficial but in
A way that the instructor could improve communication with students is by asking the class in what certain areas we need to work/improve on.
Find a way to be a little more patient with some students.
I can't think of anything that needs improving.
I actually think she did great, she is so approachable, and always open to questions. She works so hard for us as students and it really shows how much she cares. She is a great teacher.
Just check in on students every once and a while just to see how they are doing school wise and maybe personally.
It was good
i think you did good
dont really have any ways to improve
It was pretty easy to understand everything the teacher said in Spanish but I'm sure it was difficult for others
N/A profé did a fantastic job communicating with all the students in my class
I think you explain the tasks and assignments very well.
I don't see anything that needs improving.
n/a
I think you are already approachable and communicative.
n/a communication was good.
I think that personally meeting with each student once a semester would be really helpful in making sure everyone gets their questions answered and needs met.
I thought that it was good
honestly i think you did a wonderful job at this aspect of teaching.
You did really good about relating to students and having an actual conversation with them
Have them answer if they want to not just say there name and expect them to answer
When technology doesn't work it is not the students fault. We are working with what the district has given us and it is the teachers responsibility to work out the kinks
Nothing
Las dispositivas de "slide" es mejor del "Google Doc" con toda la tarea.
