Not really a question, but I would like to thank you for taking the time to link all of these amazing resources. I am eager to dive into the Inquiry & Research projects as well as the Reading Remakes. I have been struggling this year on how to reach the hi cap students and I think these items will help fill that void on how to challenge them.

Thank you for the presentation. While the focus was on the structure of the day and what HMH offers, I have some questions regarding math resources, specifically for enhancing Hicap instruction in the primary grades, K-3. I am particularly interested in materials for third grade, as we seem to have few provided to us. While I understand that the fourth and fifth grades have the Ingenuity program, I would love to explore more available resources for third grade.

In first grade we run two 15 minute small reading groups Mon, Tue, Thurs, and Fri. During this time, our students pulled for ELD, LAP, or LC/Blended. This schedule doesn't really allow time (maybe 1 time a week) to work with these students. What suggestions do you have about this conundrum? Do I need to find another time to additionally serve my students or because they are already receiving special services is that sufficient enough?

Will educators who run intervention groups (ELD, LAP, etc) be trained or expected to use the same engagement and classroom management routines so it is consistent across all classrooms? Can our school get a set of extra Rigby readers for all teachers to access for students above or below grade level instead of having to borrow from fellow teachers?

It was great to have the Rigby Readers listed by skill and additional grade levels for use with our students. I was hoping to clarify what the expectation for math would be specifically in 3rd grade where we have limited district supplied materials for hi-cap students. It would be great for students to take more ownership of their own learning and utilize individual work time appropriately to work through assignments. I also wonder how to feasibly work more with students who receive pull out services.

My hope is that our MH scheduling team can implement the example primary schedule shown in this presentation for 2nd grade next year. It is hard to find additional time to work with our students who receive pull-out extra services. I do like the progress monitoring options given. I dabbled with it this year, but plan to use it more next year.

I plan to use the Summary Recording Forms next school year as I didn't know about them. I don't have questions, but I would like to mention that although my students had literacy centers and support to complete them along the school year, it was very challenging meeting with different groups as I had several students receiving different kinds of support. It would be great if I could have extra time on my schedule to accommodate more small group meetings.

Figuring out scheduling for instruction that meets everyone's needs is always hard, especially working around SPED, LAP, and ELD services, and teachers getting time to work with all kids. I appreciate the work that's been put in and especially the example schedule. I hope we as a building are able to use this in a way to make it feel smooth for classroom teachers and support teachers. I don't have any specific questions at this time but would love more conversations around what's working and what's not.
