Lots of sins occurred before Noah's time e.g. Adam and Eve, Abel and Cain etc. Hence God decided to restore His creation by flooding the earth.

God promises Noah and all living creatures not to flood the earth again (despite the fact that He knows humans are corrupted and likely to sin again).

This covenant is a foundational agreement between God and the Jewish people. It was established around 2000 BCE according to the Bible when Abraham was 99 years old.

The Abrahamic Covenant Foreshadows the New Covenant.

How is the Abrahamic Covenant relevant to us today?
God's promises to Abraham were bigger than Abraham's lifespan. So His promises to us extend beyond our lives. He will fulfill every promise. His covenant to Abraham reminds us that God calls into being what is not yet there.

• God promise to David through the Prophet Nathan found in 2 Samuel:7

• Unconditional covenant that God promisrs David that the messiah will come from the lineage of David and tribe of Judah

• Took place when David made plans to build God a house of cedar then God promised to build David a house - meaning to establish his lineage

• Fulfilled by Jesus in his second coming
