Within teaching ofsted are the regulatory body which will periodically inspect and pass judgement on the standard of care and education provided by the school etc. This will encompass keeping records as evidence of the education provided and how you have met the individual needs of each child. As well as ensuring the company is abiding by all the legislation and government guidelines.

we as a teacher would keep confidential information safe by,

using technology with password protection
files locked away in cabinates
get permission from indeviduals to access their information, signed agreement
follow workplace GDPR policy
know how to report and record incidents of breaches of confidentiality
only share need to know information with other professionals, i.e. GPs, Support workers

Equality act is in place to ensure that there is no discrimination within the workplace/training environment, this could be due to gender, ethnicity, age, disibility etc. and will be in place for both the teacher as well as the learner. For example employers have to ensure that the teacher is hired in a fair and anti-discriminatory way and then ensure that within the work team they are treated equally as their co-workers this means they have to provide a safe working environment, equal pay etc. The trainee will also be treated equally and fairly dependant on the same factors.

to professionally be able to take disclosures, do not ask leading questions, take notes, date and sign, dont make promises of confidentiality that you cannot keep, dont alert the abuser, do not investigate.pass on to safegauding officer.
