Plastic surgery is a very trendy thing in Korea. Many different K-pop stars have done it and are influencing many other Korean people. On September 8th of 2016 Kwon Dae-Hee went in for a jawline surgery. After the doctors put Kwon to sleep, his surgeon started cutting into his jaw to begin the procedure. A few moments later all the nurses and the surgeon left the O.R and in came a new doctor, or as she is better known the "Ghost Doctor." This Ghost doctor didn't have a licence or degree to be preforming this surgery, but while everyone was out of the room she had finished the procedure. After she was finished she left and the original staff and surgeon who were working on this case previously came back in. The original surgeon stitched Kwon's jaw and sent him on his way to their recovery room. Within the next few hours Kwon was sent to the E.R for excessive bleeding, And sadly soon after he had passed away. When I was looking into this issue a little more I researched about South Korea's government to see if this could be a part of the problem. But South Korean government has actually come out and said that preforming a ghost surgery can lead you to a prison sentence and you will get into a lot of trouble so I am not actually sure why this is such a big problem there.

Seoul is the capital of South Korea. Seoul has many different cool buildings, towers, and many other different tourist attractions. For example their skyline, the different temples, and palaces. To me Seoul looks like a fun place to go and explore! with all it's variety of adventures you could experience. I also love the buildings and how some of their streets look like times square.

In Korea some cultures believe that when a baby is born they are already a year old. They also believe that every New Year's Eve you turn a year older as well. So the people there that you would think are your age are actually 1-2 years older than you! I thought that reading about this was very interesting, I feel like it has it's positives and negatives for sure but it is really cool! A positive for starters would probably be being able to drive sooner and do things like that faster than you normally could. But a negative would be that you age a lot faster and you have to miss out on some things in your life. I have actually personally thought about this before and when I was younger it made more sense to me that if you were just born you would be a year old, but now to think about it it would be a lot different.

A big part of Korean history is the war that split the country in two. A long time ago Korea was just one, until the leaders got unhappy and wanted to go separate ways. They started fighting and the tension just got bigger and bigger until even the other countries had to get involved so that they could get it over with. The war wasn't that easy many people lost their lives. No one really won the war because if they would have then there would still be one leader, instead they decided to split it in half and have two leaders lead however they wanted to. In my opinion it kinda sounds to me like it was a win win in a way. They both got what they wanted even though they still had to go through hard things.

South Korea no longer has a caste system. Their caste systems disappeared in the modern era. Their class system is similar to the system in the US. I think that it's good for them that their caste system isn't a thing anymore because it gives them more freedom like the democracy they are or want to be like.
