You may feel like you're the only person who is wondering that question, but that's typically not the case. I love the idea from the video about questionstorming. What a great way to begin a project or a new unit of study. For the case studies in this course, we could start by brainstorming a list of questions we have about the case. I think the student fear of posing questions can be a simple lack of confidence regarding the subject matter. Unless the student is bringing an eager curiosity, there may also be no foundational knowledge to spur questioning. Perhaps when the learner looks within to formulate a question there is simply a void, waiting for an introduction to some basics that they can then access throughout their own experiential database. That is what's so great about instructor inquiry as a prompt for connectivity. Where one moment there was a void, the right question can bring up a context for the student where suddenly there are several new ideas being posed for inquiry.
