”Genres are not just forms. Genres are forms of life, ways of being. They are frames for social actions”. And it forms the way people think.

The author uses the term “landscape” to describe genre; moreover, the teacher has to adapt the familiar genre to students , so they may understand. Since the students will bring their own experiences. Therefore, teachers should not choose the genres to students or expect them to follow a guide (structure). 

In literary studies, genre indicates evaluating works according to their types — it concerns a limited range of literary genres. Furthermore, it is more about the lyrics rather than the book. And, since the literature is written and read in different situations, the genre has been less noticeable.

Also, the genre clearly brings out different situations. Genre is a tool for the e students — the education knowledge to the experiences in society. The teachers needs to choose the right genre to their students.
