• What do they think about the information you learned? They agree with the information that I learned in this reading, they think that women take care of many home and familiar obligations  and they say  that this situation could affect the mental and physical health of women.

• Is the gender inequality situation true for our society, for our home? At these days, gender inequality is true for our society. In most homes, the mother works and at the same time, takes care of children and of the house necessities (cooking, cleaning, organizing). While fathers work full-time. But since some years ago, the society, specifically young people, have been working to balance the house obligations, and now we see more fathers cooking or cleaning the house, while the mother take children to school or vice versa.

• Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the workload? Yes, that's something that I have been doing since a long time ago, in my house I clean the kitchen and dishes, I take out the garbage and I clean the backyard. Right now, those actions are a habit that I have in my life. Also I try to convince friends and cousins to help their parents with the housework so they can reduce the workload. 

• What did you learn from talking to your parents? I learned that communication between parents and children is important, especially if parents want to transmit their children important life values and ideas that could help them for the present and especially for the future.

My mom said that she likes doing the house chores to see the house clean as she wants, and my dad doesn't mind about doing it, but he said that he doesn't have enough time to do it.

Is true for my home as it said, my mom works, does the house chores, and also she takes care of us, and my dad works full time.

3. Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the workload?

As a son I help my mom doing the dishes and cleaning the rooms, at my house all of us need to do one house chore to help our mother.

4. What did you learn from talking to your parents?

 That the stereotypes are real in this reality, but I think that in the future doing the house chores won't be as it is now, it will be equally for both parts.

My father thinks that both women and men are equal and should share all the domestic activities at home to show that our children have to learn about the importance of taking care of all the activities at home, it doesn’t matter the gender.

My father thinks that in society gender is inequality, but not at our home.

• Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the workload? 

As a son, I can’t do domestic activities, for example, cleaning the house, like washing the car, cleaning my room to help my family at home.

• What did you learn from talking to your parents?

I learned that it’s important to take care of domestic activities at home because we are a team in our home and should help each other, so the workload can be easier.

2. Promote a fair division of labor between partners: Sharing domestic chores or responsibilities equally between partners, brothers and sisters or with family to promote the correct example of gender equality at home.

Teaching the how to be conscious of their own sense, in the present or in the future: As adults is very difficult to change the sense or the mentality of each person about any theme , especially if we are talking about gender roles at home, but if we implement a conscious understanding of gender roles at a short age, we can teach them how to help more at house chores or being empaths.

4. Implementing rules at home that promote justice and equality, fair rules so that the entire family, regardless of gender, receives the same opportunities and the same treatment. It is important that the family applies these rules fairly.
