Once the dates are solidified, the STC will build their own respective testing schedule (what classes, coverage, etc). The STCs train their own teachers and test administrators. STCs are responsible for communicating with SPED to determine accommodations. The schedule is communicated out early to the community and staff. Teachers are given a chance to provide input to the specific testing schedule at training. This includes SPED teachers, teachers being affected by testing, guidance, admin, clerical support staff, plant engineer and even cafeteria manager in case it impacts them. Getting accommodations in hand from special education teachers is imperative in a timely manner. This will help with the organizational aspect for accommodations.  Also using other schools as a resource to bounce ideas off and compare.

Invest time in preregistration. Build a manilla folder for each student to include labelling that makes coordination with the home school easier. Determine which location will issue the student packet. Call college board with questions, or just to remind yourself about what you need to do. Keep a log of calls. Coordinate early with Building Services to secure the testing room, desks and equipment. Test and retest audio and recording equipment. Have a plan in case your testing is interrupted with something unexpected. Share that plan with the students prior to testing. Have a trained back-up proctor.
