I think this could be a viral infection. But I would make sure that the area was clean and see educate the owners, and make sure the thermostat etc are working correctly inside the habitat.

It is difficult to prescribe for reptiles. Topical antibiotic for possible bacterial infection. have a hygienic food and health control in the environment.

Since both eyes are affected it can be an infectious etiology mostly a respiratory one. Application of topical anti inflammatory to eyes can reduce the inflammation to an extent.

Well outside my comfort zone, but with reptile cases I almost always suspect poor husbandry.

I am fortunate that I have a local reptile store and the owner has a excellent European wide reputation particularly with the breeding of tortoises.

That aside, I would ask the owner of this animal to obtain a max/min thermometer and hygrometer for the vivarium enclosure.

I would advise C&S, or at least cytology.

I would treat first line with fuscidic acid, advise mineral and vitamin supplementation (Vionate) by dusting food.

On re-examination I would have gathered the nutritional needs of the particular species in question.
