Scene 1: La Playa de la fortuna (The scene opens with the sound of waves and cumbia music in the background. Coastal fishermen prepare their nets and converse).

Fisherman 1: (with a coastal accent) Ay, compae! The sea is generous today, we are going to have good fishing!

Fisherman 2: That's right, but let's not forget to thank mother earth and the sea that gives us so much.

(Suddenly, the sound of African drums is heard. A group of Africans enters the scene dancing to the rhythm of the drums).

African 1: (with energy) Music unites us, brothers of the sea!

African 2: Our drums and your cumbia speak the same language.

Scene 2: The Feast of the Union (Coastal people and Africans gather for a big party. They share typical dishes such as fish stew and typical African recipes such as Melkter).

Fisherman 1: What a taste this melkter has! It's like a trip to another land.

African 1: And this sancocho reminds us of the seafood soup of our coast.

(They all dance together, exchanging cumbia steps and African dances).

Scene 3: The Farewell (The party comes to an end. The Africans prepare to leave).

African 2: We take a piece of your coast in our hearts.

Fisherman 2: And we will keep the rhythm of your drums until we meet again.

(The Africans board their boat and the costeños see them off from the shore. Drums and cumbia mingle in the air).

END

This script seeks to capture the essence of both cultures, highlighting the language, customs and traditions that characterize them.

The cultural presentations of Colombian costeños and Africans are a rich tapestry of expressions that reflect the diversity and history of their peoples. Through these presentations, one learns much about the identity and worldview of these communities.

Languages: Languages are a window to culture. In the coastal presentations, you can hear the Caribbean Spanish, full of idioms and a musical rhythm that reflects the joy of the region. On the other hand, African presentations may include a variety of languages, such as swahili, Yoruba or Zulu, each with its own cadences and linguistic structures that tell stories of their origin.

Customs: Customs are manifested in daily practices and rituals. On the Colombian Caribbean coast, customs revolve around the sea and the land, with festivities such as the Barranquilla Carnival that show the fusion of indigenous, African and European cultures. In African cultures, customs may include passing ceremonies and harvest festivals that honor ancestors and nature.

Cultures: Culture is expressed in music, dance, gastronomy and art. Coastal people can present cumbia and vallenato, which are rhythms that invite dance and celebrate life. Africans, with their diversity of cultures, can present everything from vibrant Afrobeat music to traditional dances that tell stories from generation to generation.

What is interesting about these presentations is how, despite the geographic distances, there are similarities in the way both cultures use art to communicate values, history and hopes. It is also fascinating to see how each culture has influenced the other, especially in places like the Colombian Caribbean coast, where the African heritage is strong and palpable.

In short, the cultural presentations of the costeños and Africans are a celebration of life and community. They teach us about the importance of tradition, the strength of artistic expression and the beauty of cultural diversity.
