Bu proje kapsamında çocuklarımız, sanata duyarlılık geliştirme ve estetik farkındalık kazanma yolculuklarında büyük bir adım attılar. Sanat tarihinin önemli isimleri olan Yayoi Kusama, Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Piet Mondrian ve Romero Britto gibi sanatçılar tanıtıldı. Her bir sanatçının özgün tarzı, renk kullanımı ve teknikleri incelendi. Çocuklar bu ressamların çalışmalarını hem görsel olarak incelediler hem de sanat tekniklerini taklit ederek kendi yorumlarını katarak özgün çalışmalar ortaya koydular. Bu süreçte nokta, çizgi, renk geçişi, kontrast, simetri, geometri gibi temel sanat kavramları eğlenceli bir dille öğretildi. Proje süresince çocukların estetik algılarında, dikkat ve gözlem becerilerinde, el-göz koordinasyonlarında ve yaratıcılıklarında gözle görülür bir gelişim kaydedildi. Sanatçılara ait eserler üzerinden duygularını ifade etme, benzerlik ve farklılıkları ayırt etme, özgün düşünce geliştirme gibi birçok kazanım da desteklendi. Çocukların çalışmaları esnasında bireysel ilgi alanlarına yöneldikleri, sanatla içsel bağ kurdukları ve kendilerini ifade etmede daha özgüvenli oldukları gözlemlendi. Projenin sonunda çocukların yalnızca sanat tekniklerini değil, aynı zamanda sabır, özen, özgünlük gibi birçok değeri de kazandıkları fark edildi. Without really knowing what to say, I replied that art can be seen as a way of expressing yourself… for example music, dance, painting, sculpture.
