While we were looking at the pond an ant much bigger than the ants you find in your backyard, crawled up my hand. It looked extremely large. When we move up closer to the pond I noticed that there was algae near the edges of the pond which only appear when its summer, because algae eats the nutrients in the water and it can only grow when its hot enough outside. The algae acts as a hiding place and layer of protection for the fish under it because the birds cant see through the thick algae. When we started moving near the forest we saw a bird called a blue heron fly away which we didn't even notice was in the trees because that how hidden it was. The blue heron was hunting for fish, until we came to close and thought us as a threat. Then later on when we decided to go to the forest i saw little tiny bugs with 4 legs walking around, they were very tiny and blended in with the surrounding area making them harder prey to find. I didn't know what they did but my assumption was that they ate the leaves of the fallen in the forest. My question: Are man made eco systems better for animals? Or does it make it worse and does it break interactions with some animals and plants.

To evergreen to oak to spruce to birch, They were more oak in different places then the evergreen because they were all different, growing in there own ways, some lose leaf's some don't. Speaking of different There was other plants too, Like algae near the ponds, and poison ivy in the forest.

Animals
We did not see much animals but i can still tell you about them. We saw a hatching snapping turtle making its way down the path, abandon by its parents survival is hard with the heron Lurking around, witch we also saw can easily make a snack out of the turtle, the heron was looking for fish when we scared it away.

We also looked at the forest which had dead plants and leaves decaying everywhere. Also fallen trees decomposing into soil there were also bugs helping this process. Also we heard birds chirping louder than at the pond. This is what i noticed about the outside environment. How is algae made?
