The Painter V. Sweatt lawsuit later allowed for the creation of a law school for black students and a university to surround it. Since, and even during that time there have been so many influential things that occurred at TSU. The closure of Wheeler St. to create the Tiger Walk. The “TSU Riot” that left bullet holes in Lanier West. The TSU students that orchestrated a sit in to desegregate Houston. Etc.
