The theme of "All Summer in a day" is never be jealous of someone else's past because it can go out of control . It goes out of control when the others lock her in a closet when the sun comes out for only one hour. Because she was from earth and was there until she was five, the others did not want to know that she was there for five years and the others were never there or only there for 2-3 years.

In the story "All Summer In A Day" The character Margot was being bullied by her other classmates, because she knew about the sun and how it looks. They were also jealous of how she might get to go back to Earth next year. They were so jealous that they locked her in a closet and left her there so she couldn't be there when the sun was coming out. They are jealous of her simply because she had seen the sun, which is not good.

In the story the children bully Margot because they are jealous that she will have a possible future on earth, and that she has experience the sun. Unlike all of the other kids who have never been to earth, most likely will never go, and they have never seen the sun.

Jealousy is a force that is stronger than people can comprehend which can lead to further consequences for all involved. In the piece, "All Summer in a Day", Margot's fellow students are JEALOUS that she had lived on earth for 4 years and that she had seen the sun many times before. They can't understand why Margot of all people might possibly have a chance to go back to earth. The amount of jealousy that they possess makes them physically angry and put Margot into a closet so that she can't see the sun.

The theme of "All Summer In a Day," the theme is that jealousy can lead to conflict. Because the kids noticed that Margot got to see the sun when she was 4, and she remembered it, they were jealous about it. We can see this because when the sun was finally going to come out, they locked her in a closet so she wouldn't be able to see it. This shows jealousy can lead to conflict because they locked her in a closet so she wouldn't even see the sun.

Also, this is shown when he explains how the children hate her. They hate her because they are jealous of what she knows.

The author wrote, "He gave her a shove. But she did not move; rather she let herself be moved only by him and nothing else." As result to being jealous of her seeing the sun on Earth, the children were bullying Margot, therefore her actions were affected deeply. All she did was sit there and let herself get bullied by the other children.
