I love how Nas takes the time to highlight different parts of New York, letting them know the world is theirs. This song always inspires me everytime I hear it, because I am reminded I can do anything I want to in this world.

Reading the Crucible also often had me on the edge of my seat, as I was extremely invested into the fate of the characters.

After this, I lie in my bed for a bit and contemplate the day before, or anything exciting coming up. With an immense struggle, I wake up, take a pretty logn shower, and sometimes eat breakfast, depending on how late I am. I drive to school and walk to my first class. After school, I do something fun, usually eating lunch out. When I get home, I do whatever I want to do, for example watching a movie, playing music, writing a song, anything that I feel like doing. Unstructured free time is always a recipe for some amazing adventures.

I realized I was finally done doing the same thing over, and over, and over again. I had fallen into a pretty bad loop that year, and didn't even realize how down I felt until I had escaped. I finally had the opportunity to do something new. I could grow a mustache. I could become an emo. I could pick up a new instrument. I could move to Alaska and call myself Rob. Whatever I wanted to do, the world was mine.

I was wowed by his musical ability and talent, watching his videos over and over. The one video of him making a song from only a cup never ceases to amaze me. He then inspired me to make my own music, something that has shaped my high school experience to this day. A huge part of high school for me was sitting at my piano and writing songs. His live tours with his band also heavily inspired my own band, KickKats. Their energy up on stage and diverse genre range inspired our own stage presence at Lynbrook.
