“From GLOBAL WARMING to EXTINCTION”

April 11,2020

Do you still think that global warming is an exaggerated situation with no consequences? What, if I say you that you are not right?

That is not a secret lots of people mistakenly presume that climate changes is not a real problem for humanity and subsequently this will not lead to global warming. Sometimes they refuse to believe in it or they claim it does not concern them, because there are many other people interested in that topic who will take care of the earth instead of them. However, you just cannot imagine the fact that if you changed your opinion how the situation would change its direction. So, I just wanted you to read that post clearly and draw attention to the real emergency that is waiting for us in the nearest future if our actions will not change!

No doubt, our planet is a living organism and it is prone to change, however, nowadays, that changes are growing at a high speed and actually not in a good way. You know, that the average temperature of our earth has been raised by one degree Celsius and it is increasing and increasing now. Thereby, the glaciers melt and that makes the level of the world ocean increase. For example, the Needle Island is located nearby the part of the Antarctic Peninsula called the «Graham land». Back in late 2019 that Needle Island was covered by the ice and snow, but now due to the sharp global heating of the air it looks like a tiny part of the bare earth with the snow covered areas. As a result, by the period of about 10 days the Island has lost approximately 10 centimeters of ice and snow. As glaciologists say it was the most rapid ice melting that has never been observed before. Actually, the main problem is not in Antarctica, but in the fact that those situations happen regularly. So, the main question is that how to persuade and insist on people to feel eco-anxiety and start climate actions?

First of all, let’s figure it out what role do people play in that chain of hazardous events? So, getting an electric power we burn oil, nature gas and coal that results in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Moreover, the carbon dioxide is also produced by our using of cars and by the internal combustion engines. The concentration of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases the level of the greenhouse effect, due to the ability of the CO2 molecules catch the infrared radiation and reflect it in all directions and back. Hence, the greenhouse film covers the earth surface that results in temperature increase. Hence, the higher the temperature is, the higher the probability of breeding Malaria Mosquitoes as carriers of infection. If they spread over the world, that will not be a good news for all the humanity. That fact will bring a threat to the whole earth population. I wish we thought about it earlier… Also, speaking about animals, white bears are subjected to extinction. They are expected to shrink their population by 30 percent.

Therefore the question is ripening, to what extent could people influence on the destruction of our earth and how to stop the ecocide? In my point of view, to what extent people usually influence on our planet negatively, similarly they can make a positive impact that will definitely bring many benefits for all of us. Firstly, having built new forest areas we will reduce the amount of greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Moreover, the reduction of deforestation also will bear fruit thanks to the increase of oxygen in the air. I’m even not talking about rejection of cars, because that should be a clear thing. And what do you think about plant-based nutrition? In my opinion, that is really healthy and well-balanced diet. The less meat we eat, the healthier our nature is. Just imagine that how only methane emissions from cows affect the worlds’ atmosphere!

Do you still consider I’m making a mountain out of molehill? If yes, you are very wrong. I’m worried about our world condition, but just me alone is not enough to change the situation into the good way. However, together we will be able to do all that is possible. But why am I speaking in the future tense? We are able to change the situation now and live in a new world without environmental damages. And then we will leave the planet untouched and clean for our new generations!

Significant art productions. My exhibition

I have chosen three works of art from different areas that I consider significant. First is “Swan lake ballet”, second is “Nocturne 20” by Chopin and the third one is a movie called “Requiem for a dream”. For me all this art productions are valuable, because each of them can develop your taste and you can learn something with a help of them. Music especially classical can prevent you from different diseases and help you to get rid of stress. It is believed that the quieter and less rhythmic the work the better it will help you. Speaking about Swans lake, it is classic too and in my point of view that ballet underpins all subsequent productions. You can kill two birds with a stone watching it, because you will listen to fabulous music and observe an amazing choreography. Why I have chosen Requiem for a dream as a classic for me? Honestly, I’d been wanting to watch this film for a long time and finally I did it. I have to say, that the film has totally changed my mind. In the movie we observe four people’s lives and how they change during the period of couple of months. There is a topic about drugs and addiction. The film is about how dreams fall apart. It is very provocative, but the situation is real and common. I think all should watch it al least once! Genres: movie, ballet, music.

To better understand the ballet ,for example, it is not enough to listen and enjoy the music, it is also necessary to watch the movements, because in wordless production nothing tells you the story like movements of ballerinas. And the author of music plays a role too. So the terms are: author, choreography and choreographers. However, if the ballet, movie or music are famous all over the world like in this case, the whole names will be enough. In music: author, genre. Movie: genre, the name.

Thinking more deeply, we may ask questions like “To what extent this or that art work can develop your thinking process?”; “How brain works listening or watching that art productions”; and “To what extent watching movies without subtitles is better that with or vice versa?”. I think that all of my selected works is classic for me, because all of the have influenced on me in different ways. Music and ballet develop my art taste, movie gives me a moral. Art as an area of knowledge is a very large concept, including different themes, directions spheres. And all together they give us ART. So, to better understand it, that is the best way in my point of view to shear personal ideas and spheres he or she likes on in that path may be we will know something we’ve not known before, something that will increase our art perception and its understanding!
