Greywater usually contains detergents that have nitrogen or phosphorus, which are plant nutrients. Reusing greywater keeps it out of the sewer or septic system, which reduces the chance that it will end up in our local streams, lakes and ponds. It also increases the life and capacity of your septic system since usage decreases. If you consider getting this system, it can also decrease your monthly bills tremendously because of the high demand of water supply. The cons of recycling water is that some systems can be very expensive. It also requires maintenance and some climates can be unsuitable for recycling. Always recycle in warm months if you live in a cold climate area.
