This story is about swami, a 10-year-old boy, passionate about cricket and he and his friends founded Malgudi cricket club. He like to have adventure with his friends, avoiding misery of homework, coping as best as he can with teachers and adults he encounters. But many troubles lands in swami life due to his adventure and impulsive nature. He expelled from two schools in succession. Things gone out of his hand and forced to run away from home.

When i read this book, I felt that I am one among them in that school in Malgudi. Other characters like Rajam, Mani, Somu and Sanker are my naughty classmates. I suggest this book for all my friends.

The book is a composition of several stories by Sudha Murthi. The story is about Ajja and Ajji welcomes thier grandchildren to thier house in Shiggaon during 2020 pandemic.

Ajja and Ajji makes their grandchildren go on an exciting journey into an enchanting world of goddess, princesses, Kings, serpants, thiefs, Kingdom and palaces.

From stitching mask, sharing household chores, preparing food for workers the lockdown turns into a memorable time for the grandchildren.

One of my favourite stories from the book is A handful of grains, It is an exciting story of an extremely lazy girl called Chemba and her little mouse mini.

I find this book worth a read and i strongly suggest this book for all.

This is one of my favorite book. It has a magical fan in it. In the olden days sea water was drinkable but it became salty how? The answer for this question lies in this book. There are 4 chapters in this book. It is a very nice story. Sridhar was an orphan. So he stayed in his brother's house. Keshav was his brother. Keshav's wife Leelanever took good care of Sridhar . She would make Sridhar do all the work. And gave him very little amount of food. One day she ordered him to bring firewood from the forest. She gave him an axe and told him to go. When he came back from the forest with the firewood he realized that he forgot to take the axe from the forest. It was already dark, but Leela insisted him to go and bring it back at the right moment. Helpless Sridhar went to the forest and searched for the axe but he didn't find it. Suddenly it started to rain heavily. Sridhar found a flicker of light in a distance and ran towards it. The light was coming from a fire which was lit inside a small cave. Sridhar went inside the cave and saw 6 dwarves dancing around the fire. He noticed that the fire was started to burn out,so he coppedthe wood into smaller pieces and fed the fire. The night passed dancing and feeding the fire when it felt like dying. The dwarves were so happy . They gave him a magical fan. "Whenever you need something wave the fan gently and ask for it. When you have got it whisper enough, enough, enough"said the oldest dwarf. After that Sridhar left from there. Sridhar asked for some food to the fan and wanted it gently. It started to rain food from the sky. When he got enough food he whispered"enough, enough, enough". The food stopped coming. He decided not to go home and make a home at the sea side. He would ask what he want from his fan. Keshav and Leela got to know about it. They went to Sridhar's house and decided to steal it. They took it and boarded the ship. The captain came to them and asked"what is there in these bags?"Leela said"Nothing, my husband is a salt merchant we are going to other country to sell salt so our bag contains salt only". The captain said"ok"and left from there. Just then the cook of the ship came to the captain and said" My new helper boy left the salt sack at the sea side . We are with out salt in the kitchen. How can I serve food to the passengers without any salt?". The captain remembered the salt merchant on their ship. He went to them and said"if you don't mind can we buy one sack of salt from you".Keshav had to say yes. They wanted the fan and said give us salt. Suddenly sacks fill of salt started falling from the sky. But there was a problem they didn't know how to stop the fan. "Stop!"they yelled still the sack didn't stop falling. "Cease! Halt! Discontinue!"they shouted but they never got the right words. The salt spilled into the sea the salt rain continued till many many days till the dwarves got to know about it and used their magic to stop it but it was too late the salt mixed with the seawater and made the water salty. And the sea remaind salty ever after.

There are many facts about women in this book . We are unaware of stories in this book. And my favourite story is 'The frog who forgot ask happiness '.this story goes like along time ago there lived a group of sages who does there prayers very morning when they came after their prayers in the evening they eat fruits , vegetables and drink water from the nearby well .In the well there lived a pios and devoted frog latet a snake came to the well and the frog noticed this and sacrificed his life for the sages . The sages came back and noticed that the frog sacrificed his life for them . they all said: o dear soul you sacrificed your life for us so you can ask a boon from us.The frog revived and said I want to be beautiful as parvathi and marry a learned man and a emperor and the frog was born mandodari to mayasura and hema . Mayasura knew his daughter's previous birth that why he named her as mandodari

.She was married to ravana the emperor but here comes the problem mandodari didn't ask for happiness and she didn't get happiness and she lost her husband and her great warrior and son meghnad this is the reason mandodari didn't get happiness in her life

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. The Book Thief is not your typical war story. It doesn't even ask you to sympathize, but it stands out from other books written around the same period of time because of the insane amount of skill and patience it takes to write something so truly inimitable and poignant!

Set against the backdrop of Nazi Germany, this masterpiece provides a powerful portrayal of the hardships faced by ordinary citizens and sensitively captures the characters fears, struggles and resilience and is narrated by an intriguing entity- Death. The story commences when a young girl, Liesel, picks up a single object hidden by her brother's graveside in the snow. The Gravedigger's handbook, and it is her first act of book thievery. Here begins her love affair with books as she, along with her accordionist foster father, learns to read. Soon, she is found with books from wherever they can be found- burnings, the mayor's wife's library.. But times are changing. Germany is no longer safe, and Liesel's world is opened up when her foster family hides a Jew in their basement.

Death is continuously stepping into the narrative and there is a focus on intricate details which help us see the story through Liesel's eyes. When I read this book, I became a little child again, experiencing everything the protagonist did from cheering victories, weeping at defeats, inexplicable fear and discombobulation.

In this exquisitely crafted masterpiece that burns with an intensity and tugs at your heart, the author has given us a book which is one of the most enduring stories of all time. I'm sure anyone who reads this will shed copious tears as this is a gem which is lyrical, haunting poetic and profound at the same time. It is intellectual and artistically daring and satisfying, stimulating the brain and at the same time, stealing your heart.

I give this a solid 10/10, and would definitely recommend it for a summer page turner.

Satyavrata was a popular King of Ayodhya and ruled his land fairly and when he grew old he crowned his son harishchandra his wish was tothe heaven 's with his mortal body .

He requested his great teacher Vasishta but sage Vasishta tried to explain that it's against the rule of the heavens .But our stubborn Satyavrata pressurized Shatki , Vasishta ' elder son Shakti cursed and he was known as Trishanku and may you wander around the world without peace of mind . Trishanku travelled through the forests and met sage Vishwamitra . Vishwamitra didn't like Vasishta so he took the opportunity and to fulfill the King's wish.

Vishwamitra used all his powers and began his prayers Trishanku 's body rised to the sky.

The Gods sensed and gone to take action lord Indra used his powers to push back.

Poor Trishanku 's body was like upside down and both gods and sage Vishwamitra both of them were fighting and he requested Vishwamitra O dear sage this is against the law . He understood the wishes of the gods but he was in a fix Vishwamitra got a good idea 💡 that he a beautiful place which looks like heaven and our Trishanku was happy .

unexpected twist.So,we will recommend you all to read this magnificent book. We suggest that this book would be more enjoyable for nature lovers as it has many parts which describes greenery.We just picked this book and started reading and it kept me hooked till the end.

Written in Sudha Murty’s inimitable style, this simple story told from a dog’s perspective shows us just why pets are so precious – for their love, devotion and boundless affection.This is a book for Sudha Murty’s fans of all ages as Gopi paws himself into the hearts of children and adults alike.

This Malayalam Novel is a Fiction in which a dog called Tommy, who is a great police dog, has the power to take off his collar and make other dogs against their owner.

There is a newborn baby in a village whose father is worried about his son as he was born with a full set of teeth and his birth time, as he was born between Pooyam and Aayilyam (Malayalam Birth-stars). His parents decided on a dozen names for him, but at the time of naming, his father accidentally said the name Puyilyan(one born between Puyam and Ayilyam).

The author has tried to include many stories within one. It is narrated by the character Nannappan, a writer in the story. One another main character is Mattayi, who can hypnotize anyone to his side, even animals (like the power of Tommy). He tries to make the Maoists at his side. After succeeding, he tries to control the people of a whole village named Attapady through which he makes people commit murders.

But before all this, a dog competition or breed show is contacted and our hero Tommy has Won it. The twist is that the next day he is nowhere to be seen! This is where the whole story and murder of a Veterinary Doctor who checked Tommy on an accident is explained.

Then, we get to know that the whole beginning of Tommy is from the house of Puyilyan where he was named Chattambi. The moment Puyilyan was born, Chattambi left the house. Chattambi was fed by Mattayi through which they became friends, changed Chattambi to Tommy and the police dog Tommy mistakenly got power. The investigation was continued one way by the police and the other by the team of Nannappan, Swami (the one who contacted the competition), and Ummachan (a retired army officer who is the owner of a pack of dogs who were against him one morning). The investigation continues and continues.

Back to Puyilyan, whose house was free of dogs as pets. But Kunhiraman Nair, his father had no siblings had considered Chattambi a friend from an early age, and had lost his friend. Puyilyan was two personalities or even two people in one body. The first one was calm but the second one was the complete opposite. The second one who teased dogs caught the eye of a dog one day. But the dog didn't even mind his teasing. The investigation of the murders has come to an end. At last, the dog who came now is our hero Tommy who helped them find the culprit Mattayi.

This is a boundless novel. Recommended as a great Crime-thriller though enjoyable in all ways.

He decided to help and they became best friends. Robinson named his friend as Friday. They saw one ship is going to attach with the island, it was the father and mother of Friday. They did not go with them. After somedays the Portuguese ship came there. Atlast they decided to escape from the island.

This book took me to an adventerous and fantasy world.I prefer this book to everyone.

It is a story about a girl named Anoushka (Nooni),who is a very curious person.After living under lockdown for over a year Nooni is now fourteen and all set to visit her Ajja and Ajji(grandfather and grandmother)in Somanahalli village.The last time when she visited her village, she discovered an ancient stepwell.After reaching her village she understood that it was not the same village she visited a few years ago.The COVID changed the atmosphere of the village.But she found out that they were going to Balepura a village where their other family members live.She was very excited to go there as her distant relative Gopal Rao was completing 83 years so a festival called Sahasra Purnachandra Darshana was going to be held at Balepura,in which a person completes his 83 year and 1000th full moon seeing.A car festival was also going to be held at Balepura after the Sarhasra Purnachandra Darshana. There Nooni made friends with Vikram, Riya and Mamata. During the car festival Nooni noticed a stranger doing the rituals instead of her Ajja and she had many questions in her head like Who is he? Why is he doing the rituals?etc..so she searches for the answers to her questions,as she goes further she finds out answers to all her questions and thus she made another discovery but this time it was related to her family.

I love this book very much.Anyone can enjoy reading this book.

My favourite chapter is Half Man Half Woman.

In this story Sage Bhringi was a great devotee of lord Shiva. Sage only pray to Shiva. Lord Shiva said to him that I'd like you to circumambulate me three times.

It will Bring you good fortune.

So Bhringi change into a honey bee and flew around the lord once.

Shiva knew that the bee was Bhringi.

So he asked Parvathi to sit on his lab.

Sage find a tiny gap between Shiva and Parvati and made a the second circuit.

Shiva made another attempt, merging his body with Parvathi. One vertical half of the body was Shiva's and other part was Parvathi. Bhringi went around half of Shiva's body and excited to the belly button. Parvati shouted, to Bhringi Shiva and I are father and Mother to world.

A child get his nerves and skeleton from the father, blood and flesh come from the mother. Shiva and l are inseparable

At the first of the story a small boy called charlie lived in a small street and he was very poor but happy with his grandparents and one day the owner of the factory named Willy wonka send a message to the city and said that five children are invited to the factory and one child will get one gift and lots of chocolates to eat evry children in different types of country's one day he found out one 100$ near a shop and he finally finds it the Last one the golden ticket and he goes to the factory and he enjoys it with his grandfather. This story was amazing. I liked the story and it's very nice story. The price from UK is $ 6.99.

And he found a giant peach infront of the courtyard and he goes into the peach and he saw many insects like grass hopper etc. After that he started his journey and finally he reached at NEW YORK city the end.

This book is very nice and you all want to read this book.

The storage start when Wimpy Kid as stocking to his father his father says how the old days men to them and how in old days they used to keep themselves and the time as The Story Goes On Wimpy Kid starts to say about a pic was lately came to his family and being an irritating 🙄 person towards him. And lately grandpa has also came to his house and correctly chose his bedroom to sleep in. And now poor Greg has to be roommate with his little brother Manny 😢 .As many days rodrick go and job at the old team is ice cream parlour then a few weeks rodrick gets an promotion . As new job was to be the clown version of the old timey tobies how was the owner of the shop and also to make the children happy who were in the parlour. But he did the exact opposite. Then after a few weeks his father was getting ready to go for a business trip but he had a lots of hidden cameras to find out if there were going something which is not good 🤔. As the last time they left grandpa alone. He arranged a party with all of his girlfriends and for this also got punished . The same day in which he left .As wimpy kid got up and went to brush his teeth after he burshed his teeth he forgot to put cap of the toothpaste back

. When he tried to put it back it accidentally fell to sink and when he tried to it from there it went deep inside to the drainage pipe. And

panicked but some how he figured out. How can he take it out from one book which belongs to his . And when tried that way . It was a success but there was a another problem . He didn't how to fix the pipe. The water was making a mess but he fixed within a 20 minutes . But within that time the water had stained all of the floor and when Wimpy Kid try to wipe it off the laundry Tolwes got over and nothing worked. Then decided to ask help from his grandpa he told he help him. And then they went to the the convenient store but on the way to there the cat fuel got over and Grandpa wanted to go and buy some and come back on the during that time vimpy kid decided to sit in the car alone as he was sitting in the car he saw a group a group of boys coming towards him when he took a closer look he understood that one of them of that group was Billy with whom he had made a plan to sneake out from the cleaning the park and got caught and he told that the plan of sneaking out was Billy 's he got nervous and thought of standing up . But he accidentally pull the handbrake down and the car started moving somehow magned to escape from the car but the car went straight down to a huge pit with slightly missing grandpa and after few moments his mother came with a crane and they took the car out of it .Wimpy Kid was so afraid and begged his mother not tell this to his father . As he got to never he didn't know what to do after a few days before he was coming back . The school in which studying had planning to go for a trip to a place which was kind like a farm . And he packed his bag . And when they reached there some of the children started to say about imagery character whose name was Silas Scratch and they believed that he was one of the framer of that place a few years ago .When government didn't allow any farmers to continue there framing at that place anymore then he went into the forest and ate bugs and other animals for a few moths after that he died so people believe that there is a ghost in there after death of Silas Scartch . As days pased they continued with their activities and when the camp was about to come to an end .They needed one guide cause one of them left left this camp. Teacher who was assign to do this job called Wimpy Kid dad as one of the guide . With a tourists family, she loved it so much and wanted it. As she gave her lucky leopard's claw pendant in exchange and she got the umbrella. She loved it so much she took it everywhere it with her. A shopkeeper had an eye on the umbrella and always tried to steal it. Finally when Binay came to know about this she decided to give it to him. Mary determines to find the secret garden. On her quest to discover the garden , she befriends a robin redbreast , who becomes her first mate in this lonely place. The Robin Guides Mary upon a hidden key and later a door covered with Ivy. Mary realized that she has found the key and door to the secret garden. In time she meets her cousin Collin , who is as spoiled as Mary . Colin is believed to be a cripple and bound to a wheelchair. He has lived his entire life in the manor , fed by the fear that he will die young . Self pity and fear made him sour and grumpy. As spring arrives Mary decides to unlock the door to the secret garden with the help of Dickens , Marthas brother 12 year old brother who has a unique connection with animals and nature. Together they starts to restore the neglected garden . As they work in the garden their health and spirits improve and Mary discovers a joy within it . She decides to share the secret with collin . She coaxed him as he was hesitant to go into the garden. Miraculously the garden seems to influence on Collin . Giving him the strength to stand and later walk on his own . While the children were engrossed in the magic of the secret garden . Mr . Craven is busy travelling for escaping from his grief and loneliness after his wifes death . When he returns he is astonished to find his son walking , filled with life and joy . The transformation in both the children is the sign of power of the nature and friendship.

I loved this book so much and was engrossed in it throughout the end. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to read books about magic.

Harry does not like him or Billy's mom and yes his name was Billy.He did not even like the new baby named George Harry started causing trouble at school and at home .But even though Billy tries his best they both cannot get along.Thats when he befriends a chimpanzee named Ocky she belonged to a circus. Harry borrows her for some time.and they play together at his hideout. But soon his stepfather and police found about about it. Then Harry decides to run away with Ocky. They hides from cop and meets some Gypsies. In the end they realize about it and get together with an heartwelming ending. A great book to read with thrilling life story highly recommended.

Heidi becomes accustomed to this life, and she is very comfortable here.

Three years later, her aunt comes back from Frankfurt and takes the young Heidi with her. At Frankfurt, Heidi is supposed to help a young paralyzed girl named Clara. Heidi and Clara become good friends. She also learns to read while at Clara’s household. Heidi’s main challenge is learning how to keep up with the mannerisms of her new abode.

She finds herself constantly clashing with strict housekeeper. Heidi’s struggles culminate in homesickness that eventually become progressively worse. She is sent back to her grandfather’s cottage where she is reunited with Peter. Afterward, Clara visits Heidi at her grandfather’s farm. Her close friendship with Heidi makes Peter jealous.

Out of this jealousy, Peter pushes her wheelchair down the mountain. This dark act turns out well when Clara’s lack of means prompts her to try to walk on her own and with good results. When Peter is found out to have been the one who pushed the wheelchair away, Clara’s grandmother forgives him, and it all ends well.

This story otells us about the power and might of nature. Heidi grew great habits and gained happiness from living in the mountains, where everything was pure and clean. Clara gained back her ability to walk in the middle of nature's lap and among people who cared for her.

I’ve been reading this book series by Sudha Murthy, The Gopi Diaries, for a while now, and here’s my review now that I’ve collected the whole series.

The series consists of three books: Coming Home, Finding Love, and Growing Up. This review is about the first one.

The whole series covers the journey of a small puppy called Gopi, from the time he is born to the present.

At the beginning of the book, we see that Gopi has just been born and that all his siblings are around him, along with his mom. He starts exploring his surroundings and finds out that he has a lot of relatives. He starts playing on the large, grassy farm that he was born on. One day, he was taken to another house by some humans. He was sad that he was being separated from his family, but he still felt safe. Once they got home, they started making introductions to his Ajji, Tachi Ajji, and Ajja, started discussing a name for him, and finally decided on Gopi. They then give him some milk, which reminds Gopi of his mom and upsets him, but he still drinks it. The whole book is a recording of Gopi’s activities, told from his POV, so it is interesting and funny. The series records his whole journey in a way that captivates readers, especially young ones, and defines a whole new meaning of comical. The illustrations, by Sandhya Prabhat, are so colorful and artistic that any reader would love them. Gopi is a real dog who lives with his Ajji (Sudha Murthy), Ajja (Narayana Murthy), Tachi Ajji (Dr. Sunanda Kulkarni), and Appa (Rohan Murthy) in Bangalore, which makes the story even more interesting.

Overall, I would rate this 4.5 stars, and I personally recommend it for younger readers because of the simplicity of the book, but I do believe that any age can enjoy this book series.

The first story is about Venkatesh, a kind-hearted banker, who lives in Bangalore with his wife and two children. Shanta, Venkatesh’s wife is a money-minded woman, who places money above all and similar is the nature of their son, Ravi. Gauri, their daughter, on the other hand, takes on her father and supports him in all his decisions.

When Venkatesh gets transferred to Hubli, he discovers his look-alike and on further investigation, he finds out that the look-alike is the abandoned son of his father. He probes on and finds his step-mother. After listening to her sad story, he is moved and decides to atone for the injustices done to his half-brother and step-mother.

The first story of the book draws a contrast between the living conditions and culture of the two families belonging to the two opposite sides of poverty-line.

Though the second story feels a little melodramatic, the writing style and the simplicity of the language will make you turn the pages even faster.

I'm not much of a traveling mouse! So when I am invitation to my cousin Stevie Stingysnout's wedding far, far away I wasn't exactly squeaking with joy. But Thea, Trap and Benjamin thought it sounded fabumouse. They dragged me along to the Stingysnout's crazy castle on Cheap Change Hill. Moldy mozzarella what a disaster! I should never have agreed to go with them.... I was getting ready to go to my work place The Rodent's Gazette that's when my doorbell rang I went to check what it was that's when a Post man gave me a letter with a strange look I opened the letter it was an invitation to my cousin Stevie Stingysnout's wedding to Patience Plainpaws.Thea, Trap and Benjamin dragged me along with them ,when we reach there I was really tired and fed up with Traps jokes and pranks on me. And finally my uncle Samuel.S. Stingysnout invite us for lunch But the forks and knives where attached to the floor I can't eat I should never have agreed to go to this grumpy vacation! .

Geronimo Stiltonoot along with his family has to travel to the legendary lost valley,in search of a cure for Grandma Ratrocks aches and pains.Grandma believes that the only cure for all her woes lies somewhere in the lost valley.Geronimo on the other hand isn't quite sure whether this cure or even the place actually exists. This journey takes them through different dangerous places and adventures,including volcnoes,geyser,

crossing rivers of molten lava and surviving pre-historic bat attack.Geronimo and his family is in an adventure of their life time.

It is an adventurous story and if you like adventure stories you should read it.

Greg Heffley wanted to become a rock star. But after thinking he realises that its better to be relatives with a rock star other than becoming one. When he decides to tag along with his teenage brother Rodrick's Band - LODED DIPER- Greg doesn't realise what he is getting in to. This is a hilarious story of Rodricks Heavy Metal Band. Soon Greg learns that late nights, unpaid gigs, fights between band members and money troubles are all part of Rock 'n' Roll life style. Greg tried his best to make the band famous but he failed. But he made Rodrick's favourite band famous again and played guitar ( even though he dosen't know how to play, and practised for just two weeks) in front of a big number of audience.

Its a funny and hilarious story of Greg, and if you like such stories you should read this DAIRY OF THE WIMPY KID SERIES.

They visited many rooms in the factory and in some of the rooms the other four children got eliminated with out knowing and the last one standing was Charlie. Then Mr. Willy Wonka told charlie that he was the winner and when charlie grows he will be the owner of the factory and he and his family can live there from now onwards.

This is a wonderful and fantasic story having lot of suspenses and it will surely thrills you.

It isn't overwhelming, it's engrossing, especially the penultimate part which I loved the most, and I'd recommend this book to anyone.

To summarise, this poignant and inimitable story deserves every bit of recognition it got and more, for, in my opinion, it ought to be given a solid 10/10.

the railway line and station. They make

friends with the railway staff and in

particular with one of the railway

passengers, who they call the ‘Old

Gentleman’. They prevent a train disaster,

rescue a schoolboy, who has broken his leg

and is stranded in a railway tunnel, and

help a Russian refugee, who is trying to find his family. But the mystery surrounding their father continues to worry the children, especially Bobbie. Thankfully there is a happy ending!

I enjoyed The Railway Children but would

have loved it if I’d read it when I was a

child. There’s an emphasis on friendship

and on helping others in the right way that

is on the importance of giving that is not

perceived as charity, for instance, to avoid

wounding the pride and self-respect of

others.

The best thing about the story is that no one is the bad-bad-guy. No one is a miscreant. I think very few stories have it. A must-read book for people of all ages…

This is a hilarious story on how the boys and the crocodile played against each other. Innocence and light humor is sprinkled throughout the book which relaxes the reader, one may even get nostalgic. This story leaves us with a message that we need to respect each others place and try to stay in harmony.

treasure they found out that there were two rodents who

were searching for that treasure, but when Geronimo and his friends came to find to find the treasure the two rodents

said that the treasure was theirs then they start pulling the treasure towards Geronimo's side then the two rodents start to pull the treasure towards their side after a lot of

pulling the treasure accidentally fell on the sea but they managed to find a yellow pointed jar then when they gave it to the museum they found that it was worth more than gold !

I actually enjoyed alot reading this book . The twists were amazing. It contained many new words, but was not that hard while reading.

After Kristy Thomas’ mother has to make multiple phone calls to find an available baby-sitter for Kristy’s younger brother, Kristy decides to start a baby-sitters club. The club would meet at specific times each week so parents would be able to reach multiple sitters at one time and with one phone number. Kristy asks her good friends Mary Anne Spier and Claudia Kishi to join the group, along with a new girl in school, Stacey McGill. Kristy is thrilled by the club’s successful start, but she is not happy when she is the only sitter available to watch the children of her mother’s boyfriend, Watson. Although Kristy dislikes Watson simply because she feels he is trying to intrude on her family, she warms up to his kids and later to him after he and her mother become engaged.

Kristy is compelled to say what’s on her mind at all times, and she confronts Stacey at a club meeting about a lie Stacey’s mother told regarding Stacey’s whereabouts. Stacey shares how her parents have been keeping her recent diabetes diagnosis a secret to those outside the family. The girls resolve their issues with one another, and Kristy hopes that the baby-sitters club will stay together for a long time.

Not-So-Fabulous-Life

This book is my all-time favourite. I'm really edicted to this book I already read 6 books of Dork Diaries . Its amazing...

The Dork Diaries is one of the series that I grew up with. I really loved this book because it was really different from the other books. This book was told through the perspective of the antagonist and it was really interesting to see what they were thinking. There are so many things that I liked about this book. I didn't have any problems with it and I never usually do.

The Dork Diaries is about a teenager named Nikki, who is going through all these different things while she is in school. Her enemy is the queen of the CCP (Cute, Cool and Popular) girls and her name is Mackenzie. Nikki has a huge crush on a boy named Brandon and she has amazing friends named Chloe and Zoey. When Mackenzie found Nikki's diary, she decided to read it and personalize it into her own diary. The whole story revolves around Mackenzie and how she sabotages Nikki's life and basically the reader is waiting for Nikki to find her diary.

A lot of people compare this series to the Diary of A Wimpy Kid, but I completely disagree. Although the format of the book is similar, with the diary pages the stories are different. Everyone says that this is a girl version of Diary of A Wimpy Kid but it's not. Greg and Nikki's lives are a little bit similar but the writing and everything is super different. I don't know if I am the only one who feels this way but it doesn't matter. I only read this books for my own enjoyment so I don't really care about these things. I just want the books to be interesting and fun to read.

There were so many things that were easy to relate to in this book. For example, Nikki's little sister is almost exactly like my younger sister. And Nikki's friends are so nice to her and that's how most of my friends are. Luckily there are no CCP girls at my school and if there are, I haven't met one. But even if I did, I doubt that we would be enemies.

Nicki, Chloe, Zoey, Brianna, Brandon, and Nikki's mom and dad are all amazing characters. Mackenzie is a mean person but it's hard to believe that she wont change because people learn from their mistakes. But Mackenzie is one of those girls who never learns from her mistakes. The plot is so different from what I usually read in Dork Diaries.

I read this in one sitting because it was fast-paced. Me and two other friends loved the Dork Diaries because it was a really funny and fun read. Once you start reading, you won't want to stop. I would recommend it to those who enjoy Diary-Formatted books and those who want to laugh. I enjoyed this and I hope you do too!

The book begins with Totto-chan's mother coming to know of her daughter's expulsion from public school. Her mother realizes that Totto-chan needs a school where more freedom of expression is permitted. Thus, she takes Totto-chan to meet the headmaster of the new school, Mr. Kobayashi, where the two establish a friendly teacher-student relationship.

The book describes the friends Totto-chan makes, the lessons she learns, and the vibrant atmosphere she enjoys at Tomoe Gakuen. Mr. Kobayashi introduces new activities to interest the pupils. Mr. Kobayashi understands children and strives to develop their minds and bodies. He is concerned for the physically disabled and emphasizes how all children are remarkable. "Totto-chan" becomes best friends with a Christian boy who has polio. Another classmate was raised in America and cannot speak Japanese; the headmaster tells the children to learn English from him, despite governmental restraints against using the "enemy's" language. The epilogue explains how Headmaster Kobayashi had good connections with leaders in government.

In this the school, the children lead happy lives, unaware of the things going on in the world. World War II has started, yet no signs of it are seen. There are hints of something awry when "Totto-chan" cannot buy caramel candies from the vending machine on her way to school, and it becomes harder for her mother to meet the requirements for a balanced lunch. In another scene, a boy is bawling his eyes out at being removed from the school by his parents. Headmaster Kobayashi helplessly lets the student vent, with tears forming in his own eyes.

One day, the school is bombed, and is never rebuilt, even though the headmaster claims that he is looking forward to building an even better school the next time round. This ends Totto-chan's years as a pupil at Tomoe Gakuen.

When the undertaker’s other apprentice, Noah Claypole, makes disparaging comments about Oliver’s mother, Oliver attacks him and incurs the Sowerberrys’ wrath. Desperate, Oliver runs away at dawn and travels toward London.

Outside London, Oliver, starved and exhausted, meets Jack Dawkins, a boy his own age. Jack offers him shelter in the London house of his benefactor, Fagin. It turns out that Fagin is a career criminal who trains orphan boys to pick pockets for him. After a few days of training, Oliver is sent on a pickpocketing mission with two other boys. When he sees them swipe a handkerchief from an elderly gentleman, Oliver is horrified and runs off. He is caught but narrowly escapes being convicted of the theft. Mr. Brownlow, the man whose handkerchief was stolen, takes the feverish Oliver to his home and nurses him back to health. Oliver thrives in Mr. Brownlow’s home, but two young adults in Fagin’s gang, Bill Sikes and his lover Nancy, capture Oliver and return him to Fagin.

Fagin sends Oliver to assist Sikes in a burglary. Oliver is shot by a servant of the house and, after Sikes escapes, is taken in by the women who live there, Mrs. Maylie and her beautiful adopted niece Rose. They grow fond of Oliver, and he spends an idyllic summer with them in the countryside. But Fagin and a mysterious man named Monks are set on recapturing Oliver. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Oliver’s mother left behind a gold locket when she died. Monks obtains and destroys that locket. When the Maylies come to London, Nancy meets secretly with Rose and informs her of Fagin’s designs, but a member of Fagin’s gang overhears the conversation. When word of Nancy’s disclosure reaches Sikes, he brutally murders Nancy and flees London. Pursued by his guilty conscience and an angry mob, he inadvertently hangs himself while trying to escape.

Mr. Brownlow, with whom the Maylies have reunited Oliver, confronts Monks and wrings the truth about Oliver’s parentage from him. It is revealed that Monks is Oliver’s half brother. Their father, Mr. Leeford, was unhappily married to a wealthy woman and had an affair with Oliver’s mother, Agnes Fleming. Monks has been pursuing Oliver all along in the hopes of ensuring that his half-brother is deprived of his share of the family inheritance. Mr. Brownlow forces Monks to sign over Oliver’s share to Oliver. Moreover, it is discovered that Rose is Agnes’s younger sister, hence Oliver’s aunt. Fagin is hung for his crimes. Finally, Mr. Brownlow adopts Oliver, and they and the Maylies retire to a blissful existence in the countryside.

The blue umbrella is a story about a girl named Binya from the mountains of Himachal,who falls in love with a blue coloured umbrella.she gets the blue umbrella in exchange for her lucky leopards claw pendant, from a tourist.The umbrella was so beautiful that every one in the village admired it a well as was jealous of Binya who owned it especially, the Shop keeper Ram Bharoso.The story has multiple emotions including materialistic love,jealousy,self satisfaction and kindness.

The Blue Umbrella gives the important message of humanity, kindness and the consequences of jealousy and envy.

I liked the story very much.The story is simple and short but it explore the themes of kindness and forgiveness in world full of selfishness and envy.

I highly recommend for kids and adults.

The story's full of action – battles between the French and British are super intense, and Hawkeye's fighting skills are seriously cool. But it's not all war and stuff. There's a romance brewing between Hawkeye and Cora, which adds a bit of drama.

Overall, The Last of the Mohicans is a wild ride with awesome characters, tons of action, and a touch of love. I couldn't put it down!

My big brother has a band troupe named Dipper overload .And my younger brother is in playschool .My name is Greg Heffely and I am in middle school 🏫 Yesterday is our Peapaw's birthday 🎂 party and my house is much bigger and my all relatives come to our house and stayed for a night and my room also filled up and I want to sleep with Rodrick for a night and in morning when I wake up I see a ball it's name is magic 8 ball .when you ask something like this Greg asked a question like this am I the smartest person in my family a few seconds later it answered in the little window like this. It is certain.When I am watching TV mom come to me and told to go out and play she is telling that I am spending too much time in doors . And I asked to magic 8 ball what should I do it's replay is no and hide somewhere that is extremely safe for uand I had a sence of that when I hide in mom's bathroom she didn't find me so I think that the safest place is to hide is mom's bathroom. When I am sitting there I noticed some books on the shelf.Their heading is like raising decent human beings.How to talk to today's teens parenting picky eaters flipping the script,getting your child to do what u want .When I am in the

age of three I noticed that mom said to Rodrick it's time to go to bed so don't turn of the tv .But in reverse he off the tv .Then he grew up .When I go to school I put the magic 8 ball in the bag and in the school a surprise test. I don't know anything then I started asking questions to magic 8 ball and it answered correctly then I noticed infront of me 2 students get up and give the test paper to Madam and I was really shocked that a everyone in my class had finished the test instead me.When I am asking that question to 8 ball it fell down and mam taked to me to the principal they called my mom and told that I was cheating and that's the end.

My opinion is please check the library did u find it pls read and enjoy .it's very funny.

At the moment, however, Greg’s best friend is Rowley, who doesn’t care what people think of him. In the first few months of school, Greg engages in various schemes to try to become more popular and raise his social status. He runs for treasurer in student government, but loses, as his campaign centered exclusively on making fun of his opponent. He tries to open a haunted house in Rowley’s basement, but gets in trouble with Rowley’s dad. He is horrified to be partnered with the “weird kid” Fregley in physical education class the only boy lightweight enough to wrestle with Greg but his attempts to build muscle by weightlifting don’t go as planned because he hates exercise There are other problems in Greg’s life too. He lives in terror of “the Cheese,” a moldy bit of cheese left out on the basketball court that will condemn anyone who touches it to the “Cheese Touch” and a life of social ostracization. This makes Greg jealous, since he had hoped to be elected “Class Clown” in the school yearbook, and “Zoo Wee Mama” was originally his idea.The conflict between Greg and Rowley comes to an end, however, when both are bullied by the same teenagers who chased them on Halloween. To get back at Greg and Rowley for running away that night, one of the teenagers drags Rowley over to the Cheese and makes him eat it. The next day, all the students wonder where the Cheese went, and Greg knows it’s only a matter of time before someone figures out that he and Rowley were involved. If people found out that Rowley ate the Cheese, Greg knows that they would bully and ostracize him. To protect Rowley, Greg tells everyone that he was the one who threw away the Cheese meaning that it is Greg, not Rowley, who now supposedly has the “Cheese Touch.” Greg and Rowley become friends again, and Rowley is voted “Class Clown” in the yearbook. Greg decides that he’ll only tell people about what really happened to The Cheese if Rowley gets a big head about being the class clown.

The plot of the book is simple: it revolves around a boy named Oliver, an orphan. He escapes from the workhouse where he lives, joins a gang of thieves and escapes while they take him back, and lives happily ever after. But what makes this book amazing isn't the plot; It's the characters.

Oliver is a young orphan who always tries to persevere even in difficult situations. He is the epitome of always trying to get out of a bad situation. His failures make readers angry at his surroundings—but when he succeeds, you can't help but regain a little hope in humanity.

Robinson Crusoe is a story of one man's survival in solitude but it also incl

udes pirates, s hipwrecks, cannibals, mutiny, and much more. It's a very rich tale which examines isolation, loneliness and the will to survive. Crusoe, as a narrator, is a bit annoying at times but I do sympathise with him somewhat.

Great Expectations is the thirteenth novel by Charles Dickens and his penultimate completed novel. It depicts the education of an orphan nicknamed Pip (the book is a Bildungsroman, a coming-of-age story). It is Dickens' second novel, after David Copperfield, to be fully narrated in the first person. The novel was first published as a serial in Dickens's weekly periodical All the Year Round, from 1 December 1860 to August 1861. In October 1861, Chapman & Hall published the novel in three volumes.

The novel is set in Kent and London in the early to mid-19th century and contains some of Dickens's most celebrated scenes, starting in a graveyard, where the young Pip is accosted by the escaped convict Abel Magwitch. Great Expectations is full of extreme imagery poverty, prison ships and chains, and fights to the death and has a colourful cast of characters who have entered popular culture. These include the eccentric Miss Havisham, the beautiful but cold Estella, and Joe Gargery, the unsophisticated and kind blacksmith. Dickens's themes include wealth and poverty, love and rejection, and the eventual triumph of good over evil. Great Expectations, which is popular with both readers and literary critics, has been translated into many languages and adapted numerous times into various media.

Jonathan Swift is a master of satire. He mocks and makes fun of any form of religion or government he did not like. Gulliver's Travels shows the foolishness of many customs and beliefs.

Lemuel Gulliver is a married English surgeon who wants to see the world. He takes a job on a ship and ends up shipwrecked in the land of Lilliput where he is captured by the miniscule Lilliputians and brought to the Lilliputian king. The Lilliputians are astonished by Gulliver’s size but treat him gently, providing him with lots of food and clothes. Gulliver is at first chained to a big abandoned temple then, after surrendering his weapons and signing articles of allegiance to Lilliput, he is granted his liberty. He befriends the king and puts out a fire in the palace by urinating on it. He successfully assists Lilliput by stealing the neighboring Blefuscans’ war ships and receives a high honor, but the Lilliputian king begins to cool towards Gulliver when Gulliver refuses to help enslave the Blefuscans. Gulliver makes friends with the Blefuscans’ when they come to make peace and, soon after, an unnamed man of the court informs Gulliver that the Lilliputian court plans to accuse him of treason and put out his eyes. Gulliver escapes to Blefuscu and then returns to England.

The book is divided into 15 chapters and questions are given from each chapters at the end of the book. the questions help the children for a better understanding of the story.

The book is well known among the lovers of literature and critics of governments and religions. Its theme is still valid and thought-provoking for serious readers.

I'm quite sure that the book will help us for an insight to the human life and educate us about the absurdity of human actions. Hence, I believe everyone should read this book.

Based on the works of R.K. Narayan, Malgudi Days chronicles the lives of people living in the fictitious town of Malgudi. Malgudi - a fictitious small town in south India is typical of any small town or village, habituated by timeless characters who could be living anywhere in the world.

Malgudi Days is a collection of short stories written by R. K. Narayan, published in 1943 by Indian Thought Publications, the publishing company Narayan himself founded in 1942. He founded the company after he was cut off from England as a result of WWII, and needed some outlet for his writing. It wasn’t just a vanity press, though, as during the war there was no other way to circulate Indian writing, and Indian readers had no access to new work. The press is still in operation, now run by Narayan’s granddaughter, Bhuvaneswari, or Minnie. Malgudi Days was first published outside of India in the 1982, by Penguin Classics. The book consists of 32 stories, all of which take place in the fictional town of Malgudi, in southern India. Each story is meant to portray a different facet of life in Malgudi. The novel follows the journey of the titular character, Oliver Twist. One night, after being served his portion of gruel, Oliver asks for a second helping. This is unacceptable, and Oliver is sent to work as an apprentice to an undertaker. Eventually, after suffering repeated mistreatment, Oliver runs away and heads for London. He soon finds himself in the presence of the Artful Dodger, who tells him to stay at the house of an “old gentleman” (named Fagin) with a number of other boys. Oliver learns that these boys are trained pickpockets. On an outing, Oliver witnesses the boys take a handkerchief from Mr. Brownlow, an elderly man, which prompts Oliver to run away in fear and confusion. She was one of the best skater in Russia. In the story miss Katherine's father is a detective and handle a case about a serious theft happened in the last night. When he showed the picture of the precious ring that was stolen in last night from the hermitage Museum she realised that it was the exact ring was there with Alexandra. And they gave instruction to Alexandra not to go outside until this case is solved. So she can't compete in the skating championship. On hearing this the five mics decided to clear her name. The five lines divided themselves into two groups Violet Pulina and Nikki. They went to the museum to find clues. The Other river looking in her house old albums photos etc. When they were looking at photos they found a furniture in the background. When they were looking all over the furniture they found some old love letters. Now Nikki and team met a rodent called Gavril. Gavril agreed to help them. He introduced them to Professor Rattensky to see if they can get some clue.

After going through so many things they found the real culprit. It was professor Rattensky whose stole the precious jewels.

They solve the mystery before the Championship.

This is a great story. When I first so this book I thought it was so boring. But it got interesting chapter by chapter now I am a big fan of Geronimo books. Normally I don't have much interest in reading books. But after reading this book and some other books of Geronimo I get the habit of reading

In this book I learnt so many new words and the way of presentation is easily understood

The novel 'Swami and Friends' is written by RK Narayan and tells the story of Swaminathan's friendship. His four childhood friends and a new boy meet each other, they realize they have a lot in common and quickly become best friends. Swami also tells how to make it strong.

Swami is ten years old and his life is mainly about going on adventures with his friends, avoiding the misery of homework, and getting along as well as possible with the teachers and other adults he meets. 

His biggest passion is MCC - Malgudi Cricket Club - which he founded with his friends. His grandest day is when exams end and school breaks up - a time for frolics and merry riots, but the innocent and passionate Swami finds himself in trouble when he gets caught up in the more serious unrest of 1930s India. Somehow he gets fired. Schools in a row, when things get out of hand, he is forced to run away from home. 

Graham Greene said of this book, 'This is a book in ten thousand.'

I enjoyed reading this book

I learned moral values ​​like honesty, proper behavior, learn from your mistakes, respect elders and work hard. Swaminathan was a hard worker and always had a passion for cricket. In this regard, I have learned to work hard and be passionate about what I do.

Alchemist is one of Paulo Coelho's masterpiece that tells the mystical story of Santiago,an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a treasure. His quest wil lead him to riches far different and far more satisfying than he ever imagined. Santiago's journey teaches us about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, of recognising opportunity and learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and, most importantly, to follow our dreams.

This was a lovely book. I really enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would. I really didn't know what to expect. The young shepherd was a great character. The people he met along the way were memorable and I loved the way how much each was able to direct him. I never expected fable characters to be this realistic.

The shepherd was my favourite character. He was brought low so many times and always found a way to believe and could think that things were going to get better and he wasn't going to meet failure when it all seemed impossible.

This was a great little book through which Paulo Coelho was able to tell an amazingly complex and deep story.

This book gave me a delightful reading experience. It's a beautifully written short story of a village girl (Binya)who gets emotionally attached to her blue umbrella which leads to certain events in her life.

It describes life in the hill community of Gharwal, where common people rise to heroic status while others are given chances to atone for their transgressions. The novel explores a range of love, emotions, such as kindness, jealousy, heroism, etc..It had seven part's.

The writing style is really wonderful and so compelling that it will make you read more and more. I just picked this book and started reading and it kept me hooked till the end. I really enjoyed reading.

Angry River is a tiny book written by Ruskin bond which shows the life of a girl and her grandparents living on a river line Island. In the book the Author beautifully describes the wrath of nature,the struggle of survival and the essance of humanity.

The story revolves around Sita. Sita and her grandparents lived in a Island which was sorrounded by the river. They lived in a hut made by mud and there was a big peepal tree in the Island. They had some animals like hens and sheeps .

One day Sita left alone on the Island when her grandfather decided to take her grandmother to a hospital in the city. She had a doll name "Mumta" whome she used to talk her feelings.

She faced extreme conditions as the flood proceed to destroy everything around her. The peepal tree on the Island which stood there for ages falls down to the angry River and so does Sita's home.

A boy on a boat rescues her offering mangoes before taking her to nearby village from there she met her grandfather,but she lost her grandmother.

So after reading this book I realised that human beings and nature are interrelated.Survival in the nature is very difficult and I also learnt that " You should be brave and courageous to triumph over all your difficulties."

The novel Angry River is about a girl Sita, who lives with her grandparents in a hut on an river. When Sita’s grand mother is ill and grandfather decides to take her to hospital in a nearby town, in his boat with three goats. Before he sets out he warns her about the rain which cause flood and advices her to climb the tree if the island sinks . The dull climate changes and it starts to rain. Sita witness the water rising, and things floating. She hurriedly packs some spices, grandmother’s only saree, hookah in a trunk and runs to peepul tree for safety, leaving her mumta (doll). Suddenly, the tree Sita was clinging to get uprooted by the wild flood and fells into the river. she finds a boy who was heading towards her to rescue. Krishna , the saviour offers a helping hand to lift the girl . He not only rescues her but also provides a comfort zone by providing sweet mangoes. Since it become dark , they together stayed in the boat in a dark forest. They reaches the nearby village where she met her grandfather . Sita later comes to know the death of her grandmother, she returns to island with her grandfather to start up a new life, building a new hut.

The conclusion : Human beings are a part of the river and the river is a part of mother nature and one cannot live without mother nature. If human beings take care of nature, nature will take care of human beings.

Geronimo Thea trap and Benjamin found this out when they came to make a tea at midnight and opened the coffin to see who uncle Bigwig was and found the coffin empty. Samuel revealed this when geronimo asked about the empty coffin. Uncle Samuel apologized to every family member and shared the castle.

I liked the story. It's funny how geronimo explains his journey. This is a must read book. Read and enjoy.

Matilda is one of the book written by Roald Dahl in which the main character Matilda teaches herself to read and write at the age of 3 ! At the age of 4 she could read fluently and well. Her father being a crook car dealer went to work, her mother a lover of bingo went to Play it, her elder brother went to school and being alone at home she wents to the public library and completed reading all the books there. Cher parents are not interested in reading and tells Matilda to watch T.V instead). When she was 5 she started going to school and on the first day when the teacher was checking weather the children knew the tables (of 2 ) teacher was astonished to realise that matilda could even answer a difficult question like 14 by 19 without any hesitation and calculation !

There was a King and Queen who longed for a child, so they prayed to the Goddess of the forest for a child the Goddess granted their wish warned them that the child will have one defect .Soon a Baby girl was born named Beena. She loved clothes so much that she needed a new one every day. Soon the King and Queen could not afford to buy a new cloth everyday. They asked Beena to ask the Goddess to solve the problem. The Goddess said that she will give one new cloth to her everyday But she most not share it with any one and you should not wear anyone's clothes. Beena agreed. At first everyone loved her dress but soon nobody minded her. its the Goddesse's gift they said . Then Beena Saw the People surrounding one young girl dressed in a plain Sari telling how beautiful She was. Everyone loves Gopi he makes everyone happy except Ajja (Gopi's Grandfather).The best part of this book is that the dog is telling the story. The author of this book is Sudha Murty I like this book very much and I think this is a very good book for everyone.🙂

So to the story -- so in this story Creepella's father BORIS VON CACKLEFUR is a finalist in the Fright night 🌃 ( a contest) in her friend GLOOMERIA'S prestigious poetry competition. The Magic of the Lost Temple is a book written by Sudha Murty . This story was inspired from Anoushka (one of Sudha Murty's 2 Granddaughters ) whom they loved to call Nooni . Nooni had accidently broken a vase i about which her mother (Sudha Murty's daughter) was angry but found sudha Murt's 2 golden bangles which was hidden by her daughter 30 years ago (while playing hide and seek with it but forgot about it). In this story the main charector City girl Nooni ( Anoushka ) is suprised by the life of her grandparents in village and goes to village spent her vacation with them because of her mother's training . On one of the nights her grandmother (Ajji) tells her a story about a stepwell with temples inside. Read this story to know who are the friends Nooni makes thier personalities and how Nooni finds the hidden stepwell with her friends and unravels things She didn't envisage before.

After few days while walking near the river she noticed a girl wearing a simple cotton Sari and everyone turned and stared at her. Beena became jealous and exchanged her cloth with her. As soon as Beena wore the girl's sari she was transported into the forest and found herself before the goddess . Goddess said that you have forgotten my condition So i would have to take you away from the world of humans forever. Beena asked the goddess to grand one last wish to turn her into something that is usefull to everyone . The goddess turned Beena into an onion plant ! The layers of the onions are the dresses Beena once wore . People's eyes water when they cut onions because the goddess makes us Shed tears for the princess.

honour the queen,the neem tree ,mango tree ,coconut tree, Banyan tree,teak tree claimed that all them wanted to honour the queen. At last bamboo tree requested to speak.but all trees shouted that you keep quiet. The meeting was adjourned with the conclusion that all the trees would showcase their offerings upon the queens arrival and the decision will rest with the queen.

when queen arrived the forest, She announced them that when she visited cities, towns and villages,she found that the most useful tree to the common man is bamboo tree. So the queen blessed bounty to the bamboo tree.

This is the 2nd book in the Gopi diaries series in this book Gopi (the dog) is one year old now he is more mischievous and cheeky, but he is also more brave and strong. In this book Gopi learns new tricks, meets his cousins and even goes to Aji's (Gopi's Grandmother) office, but the biggest surprise of all is when Ajja the one who never went near Gopi pets him. I like this book very much🙂 The author of this book is Sudha Murty.

This book really contains very unusual and unheard stories about Rama and Krishna. In short, it is very enjoyable. The illustrations are also splendid

My least favourite character in The Magic of the Lost Temple is Queen Ratnavati because she is mean and arrogant.

My favourite part of the book is when Abdul Rasheed translates the scriptures written on the wall and reads them aloud to everyone.

There are some illustrations in the book, but they are all in black and white. I hope they were colourful as I like colour illustrations very much.

The language of the book is easy. I did not find it difficult to read, and I could understand the meanings of different words.

It has stories about a poor girl who was rewarded by a golden bird for her kindness and about a fisherwoman who had to pay the price for being too greedy. It has Prince Amritsena outsmarting sage Kashyap’s disciples and Rohini who learns the trick of catching a goddess.

There are stories about a village girl’s sacrifice and bravery. On one hand you will laugh reading about King Parikshit who had donkey ears and on other hand wonder how Manjunath will teach his son Anil a lesson in wisdom.

This book is my favorite as it has multiple stories and it is interesting too. Prince Amritsena is the main character. My favorite character is Varsha who got the golden bird.

There are many fascinating stories of the women in our Indian mythology, from Parvati to Lakshmi and from Ashokasundari to Mandodari.

The stories take us through different times and places in mythology. We get to read how Ganga was born and brought to earth, what are the eight forms of Lakshmi, how the first clone of the world was created by a woman and many more such interesting stories. Some of the stories get somewhat boring and pointless but then, these stories help to increase our knowledge of Indian mythology.

Overall it is an enjoyable book

One of my favorite books is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling. It is a story about Harry Potter, an orphan brought up by his aunt and uncle because his parents were killed when he was a baby. Harry is unloved by his uncle and aunt, but everything changes when he is invited to join Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and he finds out he's a wizard. At Hogwarts Harry realizes he's special and his adventures begin when he and his new friends Ron and Hermione attempt to unravel the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone. I want to read this book over and over again the second book in the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is just as great! If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books you are missing out on the best series ever.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was a book I could never put down however hard I tried! It was amazing, funny and frightening! For a start the description was just excellent!! The authors words and phrases gave you a vivid picture in your head while you were reading.

The second thing I liked about this book was the fact that all the characters were well picked very carefully! My favorite character was Hermione Granger who is a geek (clever and eager to learn also always answering all questions). She is very brave as well as intelligent and very pretty. Each character whether main or only mentioned once or twice all had different and great personalities that made them. I really liked that very much!!

The old man gave a mango fruit to them and said "please cut it and eat it immediately".both of them were amazed that the Mango was very tasty.The old man smiled and said "plant this mango seed,it grows quickly and produce sweet mangoes".

The tree grew very quickly, within a few months golden mangoes were hanging from the branches. One day he decided to pluck the ripe mangoes on special mango tree. But he was astonished that there were no ripe mangoes on that tree.Shyam instructed the caretaker to keep an eye on this special mango tree.but there were no ripe mangoes on the tree for harvest.Shyam appointed a night caretaker and instructed to give special care to the special mango tree.Again there were no ripe mangoes on that tree.Then he decided that next week he will stay there and catch the thief himself. He found out that a little girl in a mango coloured saree came out of the Mango tree trunk and stole the ripened mangoes.she told her story to Shyam.The mango God punished her "To steal food to fill your stomach" .She asked one boom to the humankind if all mangoes turned sweet and people planted and grew their own sweet mangoes. The God replied that " I will make most of the mango sweet during the summer season , after your curse ends" . So the mangoes are very delicious during summer.

This story written by Ruskin Bond is about the role played by a blue umbrella in Binya 's life(real name Binya devi ).

She belonged to a part of himalayan mountains known as Garhwal . Binya a girl of nearly 10 years lived with her mother and brother Biju (real name Vijay). They owned 3 tiny terrace fields and 2 cows (Gori and neelu ) . One day while Binya was looking for her coul as usual she heard voices , laughter, chatter of plates & cups . She realised that it was the People who came for Picnic, She went forward, they offered her food but she refused . Her eyes fell on a bright Blue umbrella made of silk and wanted it, and was ready to exchange it for her lucky leopard's claw pendant (which the umbrella's owner wanted ). Read this book to know how much the adults got jealous of the umbrella and old Ram Bharosa, the shopkeeper wanted it and decided that by some means he must own the umbrella.

This is actually a short and humours novel !

This book is a super funny book. That is totally recommended. It is all about greg heffly and his wild winders escapes in.this book snow is pilling and school became a battleground and there is a massive snowball fight is happening, and greg has to navigate his way through all the chaos. Its filled with a hilarious moments crazy characters, and relatable situations that well make you laugh out loud. Whether its dealing with the annoying siblings, avoiding bulies or trying to survive the freezing tempetures, greg adventure in the Meltdown wil keep me entertain from atart to finish.

one day as the monsoon clouds were gathering ,grandmother was ill and hard to be taken by boat to the nearest hospital .Sita was left alone and the river sold angry around the little Island .It rose higher and higher as the rains came down.Sita climbed in to the peepul tree.But the old tree groaned and shook in the wind and rain.Sita was filled with panic and the branches swayed ,but Sita did not lose her grip.The water very close to her and she was frightened. She thought it might be better to swim,then she heard someone calling,a boat approached the tree ,boy named krishnan saved her from that Island and she met her grandfather in town.

In No Brainer, Greg Heffley’s school is in trouble! The town might close it down because of money problems. That means Greg might have to go to a different school

Greg isn’t happy about this at all. He doesn’t like school much to begin with, and now it might get worse! While the adults try to figure out how to save the school, Greg and his best friend Rowley just try to survive the chaos.

There are lots of funny moments, silly ideas, and classic Greg-style disasters. Greg tries to help, but sometimes he ends up making things worse (as usual!).

In the end, we see how even a kid like Greg can make a difference…

Apart from the stories themselves, there is an ongoing tale of cousins visiting their village during the summer and spending time with their grandparents and having a good summer holiday. It was just as nice reading about the cousins and their adventures as it was reading the stories. 

The book is also full of wonderful full-page illustrations that go with the stories and this was just an added bonus that I really enjoyed.
