Sanitation

The sanitation situation in Brazil is dramatic. Today, only one in two Brazilians have access to sewage collection and treatment. But just as in areas such as education and health, the average number hides large regional inequalities. About 100 million of the nearly 212 million Brazilians live without a sewage system and their waste water is released untreated into the street or into rivers, lakes and the sea. Subject to a number of diseases, lack of basic sanitation can lead people to death. This is a problem present in the peripheries and more evident in the northern region of Brazil, but that passes alongside the Brazilian upper class, in whose inhabited and frequented places are guaranteed the treatment of sewage and garbage collection.

The alternative of the most needy is the use of public transport, often overcrowded. In most of Brazil this is an inefficient service, mainly because it does not guarantee access to the entire population.
The most favored use their own means of transport. Despite the stress of traffic, they can plan their schedules and routes more independently.
They also guarantee the benefit of being able to carry your things and always sit, among others.
