In the first interview with police Candus Bly Summers mother told authorities Her and summer had just finished planting flowers with Grandma. Summer received a piece of candy from her grandma, then asked to go with movies with her brothers in the kitchen. Candus and Summer walked in the house to wash up. Candus then asks her sons to watch Summer real quick. Candus leaves for no more than two minutes, but when she returns Summer is no where to be seen. Candus Bly has yet to tell authorities where she went or what she did in those two minuets Summer disappeared. Even though the family lives in a secluded area the family believes she was abducted.
