"Attend the tale of sweeney todd" composed Stephen Sondheim from the shown Sweeney Todd: The demon barber of fleet street. This was my first show I ever did and it was one of the hardest things I ever did because I had to work with people who I knew hated me. I felt a strong relation to the characters who were hated, such as sweeney. Luckily I didn't murder any of them! And I made some friends doing it.

My favorite song is "Little Boxes" by Walk Off the Earth. It's a really simple song but if you listen very closely to the words you'll find it describes our world and society and how they're telling us, "be unique!" while training us to be the same. I really recommend looking it up, it's beautiful, and colorful, (literally), and the music video is really abstract.

"Aladdin" by James Russell Lowell (It's a poem)

This is one of the many pieces of poetry that a completely enjoy. If you have read "Arabian Nights" or watched the Disney movie "Aladdin" you would recognize the main character. I like this poem because it talks of how when people are young, they love daydreaming and pretending. "Building castles in Spain" as some would say. Just like Aladdin would rub his lamp and wish for what he wanted, boys and girls live in an awesome imaginary land of make-believe. But in the second stanza of this poem it talks about how when people grow older, and get jobs, they start to let go of their day dreaming habits. I would regret it if this happened to me. But, I will grow up. Obviously I will; but that doesn't mean I have to let go of forget my childhood. Plus, you are only young once, but you can be immature forever. ;)

|| "Loving Someone" - The 1975 ||

My second favorite song off The 1975's 2016 release "I Like It When You Sleep...", Loving Someone is a musical dive into the current state of society, the music industry, and religion. The song is a "half-rapped social observation" that seems to put the whole world on pause to have a look around and commentate on the state of things. The song is often considered to highlight the lgbtq+ community, and with lines from the point of the media like “It’s better if we keep them perplexed/Better if we make them want the opposite sex” it's hard to oppose. The song is also known for the ingenious line "I'm the Greek economy of cashing intellectual cheques" which not only is a jab at themselves, but the ongoing chaos of the political world. All these things and more I don't have the space to talk about considered, it's a beautiful song that means a lot to those who've ever paused to question themselves and the world around them; or those who just enjoy a good laugh at the medias sake.

Additionally it gives me the opportunity to focus, while blending out any distractions.

This song is about having a battle, "putting your armour on" and being able to conquer whatever that problem is, in order to be the best you that you can be.

Nearly Witches- Panic! at the Disco
There are many components of this song that speak to me. I really like the little piano riffs thrown in between verses and choruses. In the verses, they use some intricate wording that sounds really cool. I also like how they incorporated the children's chorus in the beginning and ending. I think it flows well with the song. The lyrics tell a good story and the chorus is repetitive yet I can't help but to sing along every time I hear it.

"Beneath With Me (feat. Skylar Grey)" - deadmau5 and Kaskade.

While this song just might seem like another EDM (electronic dance music) song, it does happen to have a meaning, but a meaning that is different for everyone. It is a very chilling song, written beautifully, haunting vocals, clean transitions between drops... Even the music video is chilling. I get goosebumps every time. Many EDM songs, even the hidden ones that these DJ's first started making, can have a goosebump factor to them, whether they are haunting or melodic or whatever makes you get goosebumps. Here are the lyrics:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
[Verse 1]
Can't escape
All the fire burning bright
Water still is rising
Throughout the long nights

[Chorus]
Come take my hand
And focus on the light down at the end
Say words to comfort me
We still have time for hope, that's all we need
Beneath with me
Beneath with me
Beneath with me

[Verse 2]
Morning grace
Enemies have come together
Miles have gone silent
In the arms of strangers

[Chorus]
Come take my hand
And focus on the light down at the end
Say words to comfort me
We still have time for hope
That's all we need
Beneath with me
Beneath with me
Beneath with me
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Short lyric span, yes... But spread out between drops and various synths. Now what is the meaning, you ask? Depends, what do you think it means? The music video focuses on death, in general. A woman and a man get into a car accident. The woman appears to be singing the song, and waking up from the accident and climbing out from her car that's been turned over on its back. As she slowly gets up to try and get help, walking towards a faint light up the hill, soon the man awakens and runs to her car to try and help this woman, but she's still in her seat, possibly dead. I guess her leaving before was I guess her spirit leaving and "going towards the light". Though the way how the man reacts to seeing this woman possibly dead... I think this song is romantic in a way and this man and woman were possibly in a relationship and just broke up, and both went out for a night drive to calm down or something.

Now you might be wondering why I haven't answered the question yet and why this is even more than 1-2 sentences... Well I'll answer it now (XD). This song goes in my "Chilly goosebump song" category for a few different reasons. Usually it may be the texture of the song itself, but in some cases its just the vocals. In this case it is the literal sound of the vocals, the melody, the harmony, and the lyrics. I'm not religious at all, but even the possible meaning of the song (focus toward the light and be a good person, perhaps) can be used in everyday life. I mean we can't run from death, ya know? We can't just be total bullies and just bad people in general for a majority of our lives... Once its too late you can't go back. It'd be on the death bed now, been a bad person, and have no clue whatsoever of what happens after death. There may be a good and a bad place, there might be a second dimension where your a spirit and you can travel basically anywhere in this second dimension of the universe... We don't know. It could even be nothing. But if there is something... Karma comes back (XD). Right now one of my problems is the idea of death... And anything that helps or deals with the idea of death becomes important to me. I'm very grateful I am alive and that I was born. But the fear of death itself... A lot of people have that and it can't be helped... But if your willing to be born you also have to accept the will to die when it comes. But I know this song helps me with that slight fear. If a good or bad place exists, then its better to be a good person (just in case XD)... I see my life as a timeline. I see birth, and I see eventual death. But between A and B I can decide who I'll be. What I'll do. Often when I continue off of there I spiral into this entire thing and my mom asks how long I was staring out the window at the sky. Often I don't know. But in short this song reminds me to be a good person before death... (XD).
