My first cell phone was a Christmas gift when I was in the 9th grade. Calls were free after 7 pm. Text messages cost 10 cents to send. I would often get in trouble for texting too much. There was also three letters on each number. To send a message, you had to push the same button until it reached the letter you wanted!

I didn’t have a cell phone until college and it looked like Mrs. Hanley’s. Before that, my dad (Luke’s Papa) had one of these. He had to lug it around and it was so expensive to use, you would only make super quick phone calls and only if absolutely necessary!

My first cell phone was a gift from my parents in 7th grade when I made it into National Junior Honor Society. The cell phone had a blue plastic case with white Hawaiian flowers on it that I picked out from a kiosk inside the mall. For many years, I was only allowed to use the phone during the day to call my parents and could only talk to my friends after 7 PM, as that’s when our minutes were free!

My first phone was a nokia slider. It was SO COOL. My mom worked for AT&T So I was the first one in my WHOLE school to get a phone. I was 12 years old and I had the phone for a whole week before it was stolen out of my backpack haha! But for that week I was able to send pager code messages, like I love you = 143 and play the snake game :)

This was my first cell phone. My Dad got it for me back then so he could reach my siblings and I anytime as he was living in the UK then. I remember I was one of the first few to get a cellphone back in high school in 2003 at age 13. I loved it so much cos it also had radio, so I’d listen to my favorite FM stations then, lol.

I got my first cell phone for Christmas in 8th grade. I just remember it was virtually indestructible, using T9 to text, and playing snake. :) But, my favorite part of having a phone was being able to text my mom to ask her to bring me Las Palapas for lunch. Thanks, mom!

I got my first cell phone after I graduated from college. I still remember its very bulky battery and how uncomfortable it was to transport it around via pants pocket. Friend of mine worked for MCI Worldcom and sold me the phone, and a terrible service plan that resulted in some massive phone bills. Unlimited minutes and elimination of long-distance calling was still a dream.

This was my first phone. I thought it was so cool. All the ph call and text messages cost cents, ph call charges you by minutes so I mainly used it for texting. I typed super fast even though it was kind of a hassle 😅 but I don't know if I could text that fast again if I ever use it again. Oh... and I loved the snake games. lI remember playing it everyday!
