Covid-19 is transmitted more readily between humans than Sars, though it is less virulent. Covid-19 has caused severe respiratory disease in about 20 per cent of patients and killed 2-3 per cent of infected individuals. Sars, in contrast, killed 10 per cent of confirmed cases. Due to the huge population density in china it is no wonder that simply taking a walk through a shopping centre could infect hundreds. The rate it is spreading at is at record levels, thanks to the wonderful invention of transportation. As we know the Spanish Flu wiped out 1/5 of the population of Europe without planes or cars. You get symptoms 14 days after you get it meaning that in that 14 days you can spread it to everyone you come in to contact with can get it with out knowing.

The symptoms are just like a cold so it’s hard to identify
