Christine Granville convinced prison guards to release their own prisoners! Not only that, but all while simultaneously being surrounded by her own wanted posters.

Christine liberated three other spies that were scheduled for execution at this time. She told guards that she was a British Spy and that the allied forces were bearing down on the city. She recommended the guards to release inmates for future payment and clemency.

When the Allies were planning to invade Sicily in 1943, they knew the Germans would be rapidly reinforcing the territory. In response to this, they obtained the body of a dead vagrant. They then dressed him up in a uniform, chained a briefcase of fake invasion plans for Greece to his wrist, and floated him on ocean currents to "neutral" Spain.

As the British had intended, the documents were handed over to the Nazis and they believed them to be genuine. The Germans prepared for an invasion in the wrong place. This resulted in the saving of thousands of Allied lives during the invasion of Sicily.

Nancy Wake became the most wanted enemy. Considering the whopping five million franc price on her head, she was a very clever woman.

Nancy ran underground escape lines for fugitives and escaped prisoners of war. After being caught and arrested, she eventually escaped. After this, she began organizing her own private army,. She was now arranging deliveries of supplies, weapons and ammunition for some 7000 resisters. She even had the audacity to insist on fighting alongside them.
