My favourite thing I experienced in this program was being able to learn how to sew different stuff like the pualuks, kamikkalla, owl, juggling ball and seal skin soccer ball. And learning about all the domains in a child, and how to connect to the child through what I have learnt.

There’s this one child that doesn’t like to get up after nap time and needs comfort so after I let her be for couple minutes I would go up to her and ask if she’s ready to have snack then show her what we are having for snack and ask ‘would you like these, because these are my favourite, I think you would like them too’ and hold her going to her seat and comfort her when I’m getting her ready and let her know its okay.

My most favourite part of the course was Ikummaqsaq lighting a Qulliq with an elder. It is one of the most beautiful feelings anyone can experience. I think it was challenging for me, we have to make sure the light doesn’t go off. The Qulliq is the main source of light and used for hot water making in the day

I have been really enjoying my course and learned new things especially with 5 domains and doing some sewing like owl and the raven, baby slippers and paper plates drums that I really enjoyed making them. I’ve made new friends as well attending college, learning new things is always exciting

My favourite experiences so far are learning development, doing fun projects such as painting and sewing and especially my classmates and instructor, little did they know they are always the highlight of my day, they are very welcoming and fun to be around, also with needing help everyone is always here for you.

Some challenges I have here are keeping up with sewing projects after another, also I need to learn to be less forgetful to bring my journal to work to reflect on how the day went. Other than that it isn’t very challenging

I’ve been enjoying this program so far. The thing I’ve learned to sew, kick ball, owl, baby slippers, juggling ball, and 5 domains about a baby, and child. And we did ikummasaq lighting a qulliq, it was my first time lighting one, it was beautiful and kinda challenging.

My favourite experience is learning these 5 domains that I didn’t know about, and doing some different kind of arts and drafts especially going to print shop to do painting with my own design and seeing those beautiful prints that are showing at the print shop.

The most challenging for is sewing, I have not be catching up with the sewing but however when i finished them I’m always excited to see the outcome and show it to our fun instructor
