This propaganda was used to encourage people to join the war effort. I find this relevant to my book, The Boy at the Top of the Mountain, where Hitler, as the head of the household, convinces a young boy named Perriot to betray his friends and side with Germany. He needs to know that his power was limited and that could be something that Pierrot could stop. The power that the Germans had and how they convinced people to join things like this propaganda posters is what got them powerful and the only reason Pierrot didn't stop hitler is because he wanted to feel like he was  something important and Hitler took advantage of that.

It tells the story of Pierrot, a young boy who goes to live with his aunt after his parents die. As the story unfolds, Pierrot becomes involved with the Nazis during World War II and has to make tough choices.One of the main ideas in the book is that blindly following authority can be dangerous. Pierrot realizes this as he gets more involved with the Nazis. He knows what he's doing is wrong, but he's scared to go against authority. As Pierrot says on page 153, "I knew that what I was doing was wrong, but I did it anyway because I was scared." This quote shows how Pierrot was afraid to do what was right because he didn't want to go against authority. Another important theme in the book is empathy and understanding. Pierrot struggles to understand why the Nazis are treating people so badly. But as he learns more, he realizes that it's wrong to treat people that way. On page 223, Pierrot says, "I didn't understand before, but now I do. It's wrong to treat people this way." This quote shows how Pierrot learned to empathize with others and stand up for what is right. Overall, "Boy at the Top of the Mountain" is a book that teaches important lessons about morality and empathy. The Boy at The Top of The Mountain was a very good book overall, covering a variety of topics surrounding Nazi Germany, such as the corruption of political officials and the population as a whole. But there were other good books that covered the same issues, Adress Unknown is one such example. It was written through various letters between a Jewish German-American in San Fran Sisco, and his friend who recently moved back to Germany. This book covers the same topics as The Boy at The Top of The Mountain because his friend in Germany, much like the main character in the Book we are covering, both get corrupted by the nazi regime through propaganda and lies told by people around them. However, there Are some differences between these two texts, such as the difference in perspective of the main characters, the main character in Address Unknown is on the other side of the world, while the main character in The Boy at The Top of The Mountain is very much in the action, actually living in the same house as Hitler. One book that was While both books deal with the effects of war on young people, they approach the subject in different ways. "The Boy at the Top of the Mountain" follows the story of a young boy who becomes a worker at Hitler's mountain retreat home and is slowly drawn into becoming a Nazi. This attack on France ultimately allowed the Allied powers to retake France and Europe as a whole.
  This relates to The Boy at The Top of the Mountain because once the institution of Germany fell, he fell too.
