He started a Kickstarter campaign to get funding for the mural, with a goal of raising $18,000 for his supplies. Although unsure about the Tucson community’s willingness to support public art, Pagac ended up raising almost $22,000, with the extraneous funds going towards other mural projects across the city, and spent from 2015 to 2017 creating this 4,000 square-foot artwork.
